Dr. Nicole Martin from The Real Housewives of Miami is engaged to her long-time partner Anthony Lopez. Viewers met Nicole for the first time last month when she was introduced as one of the newest cast members of the rebooted reality series. During the first episode, Nicole gave the viewers a sneak peek into her unique home life with Anthony and their son Greyson, who they welcomed in February 2019.

After joining the show, Nicole and Anthony's relationship has been a main topic of conversation. Some of her castmates are confused as to why he hasn't proposed after being together for so long and sharing a child together. Nicole was never one to ask him when he was going to propose as she didn't care herself. The couple was happy with where their relationship was at and didn't need a ring to make it official. Now it seems they're ready to make things official.

Nicole, who is a doctor, exclusively announced to PEOPLE that she is engaged to her partner Anthony after more than six years together. The reality star said she was surprised when Anthony popped the question on New Year's Eve. "We've talked about marriage before. I think we both knew it would happen one day. I just didn't know that day was coming so soon," Nicole admitted to the publication. "It was a total surprise!" The trial lawyer proposed to the anesthesiologist while they were on vacation in Aspen with their two-year-old son. "Anthony isn't the most emotional person, but out of nowhere he started sharing some really beautiful sentiments about our lives and relationship," she recalled. Nicole eventually got lost in what he was saying as she knew what was coming and could barely contain her excitement.

Nicole said Anthony told her he didn't want another year going by without letting her know how much he loves her. He then proceeded to pull out a diamond ring. The 42-year-old proposed to Nicole with an antique cushion cut stone set on a thin pavé diamond band. Nicole absolutely loved the ring as it's her favorite cut of diamond, plus it looks sleek and simple for a 10-carat ring.

The engagement was a long time coming as Nicole and Anthony met and fell in love in 2015 when they met while in Las Vegas. Nicole, who is a new cast member of RHOM along with Guerdy Abraira, revealed the couple met while walking through the lobby of the Wynn hotel, where she saw a group of her friends from Miami that Anthony was a part of. He somehow found her number and reached out to her multiple times. Nicole finally gave in and was "hooked" after their first date. Since marriage was never important to either Nicole or Anthony, it was better for the couple to wait later on in their relationship to get engaged. Now Nicole and Anthony will truly have the perfect family.
