Alexia Echevarria from The Real Housewives of Miami was recently featured in a new documentary, where she spoke about her drug-dealing ex-husband Pedro "Pegy" Rosello. Throughout Alexia's three seasons on the Bravo series, her ex, who is also the father of her two sons, was mentioned a few times while speaking to her eldest son, Peter. Both of her children were well aware of their father's drug-dealing past, even though Alexia tried to shield them away from it when they were younger.

Now that her old life is behind her, Alexia seems excited about returning to the Bravo series. She and the rest of the cast have been spotted out and about in Miami filming the rebooted RHOM series for Peacock. Alexia isn't the only returning cast member, with Larsa Pippen, Lisa Hochstein, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton also set to come back. The season 4 release date has yet to be announced, but fans are already excited about the return of the Miami ladies.

The 54-year-old recently opened up about her relationship with her ex-husband Pegy, the "cocaine cowboy," in the new Netflix docuseries Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami (as reported by The Daily Mail). The series focuses on the rise and fall of Augusto "Willy" Falcon and Salvador "Sal" Magulota's drug empire. Pegy, Alexia's ex, was one of the main associates of the drug kingpins who helped them traffic more than 75 tons worth of cocaine from Colombia to the United States in the 1980's. At one point in the documentary, Alexia recalled Pegy paying $42,000 in cash for her engagement right before he was sent to prison. After officially meeting in 1987 at Club Nu when Pegy's friend recognized her, they instantly had a connection. "I think he was in the VIP [section], and I saw all these girls around him. I was like, 'Oh my god,'' Alexia explained.

The pair ended up hanging out together at the beach the following day, with Alexia even spending the night at his apartment. However, something out of the ordinary happened that had her questioning their relationship. "He gets a phone call, and he's like, 'I gotta go,'' she remembered. "What do you mean you gotta go?...He left so quickly that at that moment, I said, 'This guy has a girlfriend or he's married.'" At the time, she had no idea she began seeing signs such as the cash, the different boats and the cars. On September 17, 1991, a swarm of cops surrounded the house, but Pegy urged Alexia not to open the door. Alexia even refused to give the DEA Pegy's name, nor would she confirm if she lived with him. However, Pegy ended up going to prison in 1992, right after their first son was born. After that, he was in and out of prison again and will be released in 2022.

Alexia has had quite an interesting life since she met Pegy in 1987. While his career as a drug dealer was stressful for her and her family, the RHOM star did it for love and the sake of her two boys. Hopefully, Alexia will open up about her experience filming the documentary in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Miami on Peacock.
