The Real Housewives Of Orange County star Heather Dubrow took to Instagram to announce the progress she's made since having recent foot surgery. Heather, who also celebrated her birthday over the winter holidays is back on the franchise after five years away. Now that her family is settled into its newest (22,000 square foot!) mansion and her twins are about to start college, "Fancy Pants," as she is affectionately known, has once again decided to make time for the ladies of the OC. With the exception of Shannon Beador, she is returning to a cast that is completely new to her.
Heather got off to an interesting start immediately upon returning to the show. Gracing Shannon and Gina with a tour of her gargantuan manor left Gina slack-jawed at its opulence and Shannon feeling emotional about no longer having her own refrigerated kitchen drawers. Unfortunately, things didn't continue on such a friendly trajectory - at least where Shannon was concerned. After learning that her frenemy was the source of some unflattering gossip about her husband (plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow) Heather officially announced her return to the show by ripping Shannon a new one.
Heather, often seen sporting designer stilettos, is definitely on a necessary break from her Louboutins. In a recent Instagram post, Heather showed off her new toes. In the post, Heather announced to her followers that she was spending the holidays recovering from a bunionectomy. This is a fairly common surgery where a bony growth is removed from the outside of the big toe. Bunions are removed for reasons of discomfort and aesthetics. Heather's big toe looked fine, although zooming in for a closer inspection reveals that she has stitches along the inside of her foot where the growth had been removed.
The pic featured her right foot looking perfectly pedicured with the exception of visible stitch lines running across the second and third toes. The photo also featured her blinged-out scooter, bedazzled with gems and emblazoned with her initials. In the post, which begins "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!" Heather thanks her friends, family and followers for their support during her recovery. Cast mate Gina Kirschenheiter (who claimed that she got blisters just from touring Heather's house) and RHOBH's Garcelle Beauvais offered well wishes in the comments sections. Husband Terry announced that he had assisted with the surgery.
With Heather's recent dress-down of Shannon, she's already delivering the goods that fans of The Real Housewives Of Orange County demand. Generally one of the more pragmatic and level-headed housewives, it was a bit of a shock to see her on the warpath so early in the season. Hopefully Heather's foot is on the mend and she'll be back in her high-heels in no time. Gina, who announced that she should have worn her Nikes to tour Heather's house might have some recommendations about the footwear Heather should wear during her recovery!
