Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County learned that Elizabeth Lyn Vargas was raised in a cult and would like to know more about the religious group.

Fans were introduced to the Missouri native on the premiere episode of RHOC season 14, at her beach house. She opened up quickly about her divorce from Bernt Bodal, whom she was married to for 17 years. Luckily, the blonde bounced back with a new and younger boyfriend who plays by the rules. If her tag line is any indication ("I earned my money the old-fashioned way, marrying it, then making more"), she is not a woman to be messed with. Fans were quick to point out that she enjoyed talking about her wealth. However, they felt there might be more to her than meets the eye.

During the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, it became painfully obvious that Elizabeth just wanted to make some reliable RHOC connections with real women that she could call friends. Even though Braunwyn Windham-Burke has started to wear on her fellow cast members, one thing is for sure... she knows how to help out during a panic attack.

Elizabeth belonged to the Faith Bible Tabernacle church, which was based in the Midwest. She told fans that it was a religious group where her grandmother was the church leader. Her grandma told her to speak in tongues. The reality star also revealed that everyone lived on the same property in trailers, while her grandmother lived in a mansion. Fans were shocked when the Real Housewives blonde opened up about her childhood. She told Braunwyn, "I was raised in a very, very religious situation where I was told to absolutely not open my mouth or tell the truth about what was happening, and I have a very, very hard issue with stopping the compartmentalization because I grew up in this horrible situation." Elizabeth shared more details during her confessional, saying, "I grew up in complete fear, anxiety, anguish. It was very, very hard for me. I was always scared for my life because we were beaten so bad that I thought for sure I was going to die one day of it."

The Faith Bible Tabernacle church has not commented on Elizabeth's claims, and the religious group's website describes the church as family-centered. Elizabeth had a panic attack at the end of the episode, and tonight will show the aftermath of her secret life revealed.
