Kyle Richards is finally opening up about her first marriage to Guraish Aldjyfrie on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Fans have watched Kyle's happy marriage with Mauricio Umansky since RHOBH season 1. The OG housewife has shared many of their upbeat at-home moments on the show. However, little is known about Kyle's ex-husband and the father of her eldest daughter Farrah Aldjyfrie.
Kyle has worked hard to dispel the age-old cheating rumors about Mauricio. Since RHOBH season 4, Kyle has gone to bat for her husband and battled with Lisa Vanderpump, Brandi Glanville, and others who have made accusations of Mauricio being unfaithful. Kyle and Mauricio have been married for over 26 years and raised four daughters Portia, Alexia, Sophia, and Farrah, Kyle's daughter from her first marriage. Over the years, little has been revealed about Kyle's first marriage and why it ended. With Mauricio's good looks and the non-stop cheating rumors that somehow stopped surfacing on the show, fans have been too distracted to pry into Kyle's past with Guraish.
All that changed in a recent BravoTV sneak peek where Kyle decides to open up about her divorce. While Guraish has made small appearances over the years to celebrate milestones for their daughter Farrah, not much is known about what caused their split in the early 1990s. "My ex-husband never got remarried,” Kyle told the group, adding, “And I feel so bad because honestly, he’s such a good guy.” When it came to why the pair divorced, Kyle, whose style has evolved on RHOBH, admits she wasn't ready for such a big commitment at that time in her life. “He loved me. We have a beautiful daughter together. I loved him. And, um, I was just too young to be married," Kyle explained. She admitted to still having genuine care for Guraish despite them divorcing so young. “We both always put Farrah first," she added.
Flashbacks showed Kyle and Guraish smiling together at Farrah's graduation in 2010. Kyle also noted how well Guraish and Mauricio get along. On Father's Day in 2021, Farrah shared a heartfelt tribute to Guraish and Mauricio, thanking "the amazing men who made me who I am today." Kyle's reveal was the first time she spoke about her ex-husband and clarified the cause of their divorce. Having been married to Mauricio for nearly 30 years, it's likely been a long time since Kyle, who RHOBH fans love to hate, reflected on her first marriage. Nonetheless, her confession about her divorce is one of her more transparent moments on RHOBH this season.
Kyle has bigger fish to fry on the show as the trailer teased family drama with her sister Kathy Hilton. Lisa Rinna appeared to be the one to stir the pot in the sister spat and fans are anxiously awaiting when they'll get to see the drama play out. RHOBH OG is known for feuding with her sisters on the show. Her past fights with Kim Richards carried the franchise in the early years. Now with Kathy as a friend, Kyle's family drama with her sisters takes the attention away from rumors about her husband.
