In the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne revealed that her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, wants to "punish" her for walking out on him. Bravo fans have been torn with the intense emotions that have been oozing out of Erika since before this season. Viewers are not sure if they can believe her crying act on the show.
Erika has been known as the ice queen for the longest time, and no one truly knows what to believe. After the release of Hulu's The Housewife and the Hustler, Bravo lovers were startled by the victims' accounts. Erika has found herself in a bit of a pickle as a judge recently ruled that the victims could go after her assets. The "Pretty Mess" singer has been trying to get her side of the story out there but some feel Erika is the glamazon that cried wolf. Erika has been speaking more about her marriage to Tom and according to her, it was not always rainbows and unicorns.
Bravo viewers watched as Erika melted into her tears, runny mascara, and all. She had met up with Kyle Richards and explained that life was currently extremely hard for her amid the divorce and legal issues. She said, “Oh, he’s down to punish my a*s all the way to the ground.” Erika explained to cameras that while it very much looked like Tom was a supportive husband when it came to her career, behind closed doors, he resented every step she took.
Most fans did not balk at the revelation since it would make sense that a once-powerful lawyer wouldn't want to share the limelight with his wife. In an earlier season, viewers saw Tom shut Erika down during conversations as if he expected her to be a wallflower. It was clear that Tom's view of Erika changed over the years once she was able to make a living off her name. Erika revealed in her confessional that around the time she made it big on Broadway, Tom's view of her changed, saying, “Like he was like, ‘Who the f**k do you think you are?’" According to the blonde, she took the ball and ran with it like she had hoped he wanted her to do.
The 50-year-old filed for divorce from her 82-year-old husband back in November on election day in hopes of the news being buried. The “How Many F**ks?” singer has denied any knowledge of her husband's wrongdoings even though the court papers allege that Erika and Tom embezzled money from victims of the Lion Air Flight 610. During the episode, the RHOBH star said it is hard when tabloids are publishing false information that fans believe. Only time will tell if Erika is truly innocent.
