On the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Part 3, which was Denise Richards' send-off, fans were given some insight as to how Denise initially got involved with the show. It was actually Lisa Rinna who originally told Andy Cohen that Denise would be a great addition to RHOBH. However, during the Reunion Part 3, Lisa admitted that she wished Denise never joined the cast.

As we all know, when it comes to next season, Lisa Rinna is now getting her wish, as Denise Richards did not renew her RHOBH contract. This news came as a great disappointment to Andy Cohen, who did all he could to keep her on the show, "I'm just sad we couldn't reach an agreement for next season. I'm kind of living in that sadness."

The ironic revelation that Rinna was the one to bring Denise to RHOBH last season came to light on Bravo TV's RHOBH Reunion Part 3 when Andy asked "truthseeker" Lisa if she regretted anything she did this past season. Rinna's response was that she regretted nothing she did on the show. However, "I would have not had Denise come on the show if I were to do it all over again." Andy revealed it was a few years ago when texts between Rinna and Andy started being exchanged, and the messages featured Rinna petitioning for Denise to join the show: "The time is right for Denise. She's so great. Everybody's going to love her." Denise then asked, "So what's changed?" To which Lisa had no response. Denise admitted that Rinna acts differently on TV. Right now, Denise is focusing on her soap opera career, as seen in the post below:

Of the relationship between the two Housewives, Andy said, "If you're handing out grades this one might get an FU." Andy asked Denise, "How do you think Rinna has changed?" This was when Denise walked off set for the last time, saying she was getting something to eat before she answered the question. She then came back, saying she had to study 48 pages for the following day of work at Bold and The Beautiful. She later told Andy, "I think Lisa is very different on the show & she turned on me." Lisa Rinna's response was that she hasn't turned on Denise. Rinna said, "You haven't been open and honest with me." Denise then turned the tables, telling Rinna basically that she had the receipts of things Rinna said about Brandi in texts. Rinna insisted that any texts regarding her own texts were off-limits and  "private" for some reason.

Can their 20+ year friendship be saved? Probably. We've seen it happen with almost all the other Housewives. It's almost as if what happens on RHOBH (or any other Housewife franchise) sometimes stays on RHOBH. It's as if everyone knows certain topics are blown out of proportion, maybe just for the TV viewers and ratings.

One friendship or un-friendship that probably won't be saved is the one between Brandi Glanville and Denise Richards. Brandi is still holding a grudge. Now, after Denise's news that she's not returning, Brandi feels like (once again) she's getting screwed over by her not coming back. Brandi is saying she now won't have a storyline to be part of the show anymore. Of course, fans know otherwise. Brandi is capable of inserting herself into anyone's RHOBH drama or creating her own new storyline. She generates lots of drama, with or without Denise in play.
