Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are now turning on Kyle Richards’ daughter, Portia Umansky, after the reality star and her husband, Mauricio Umanksy, laughed at Garcelle Beauvais’ son Jax. In the latest RHOBH episode, the housewives gathered together for Garcelle’s birthday party. As Garcelle was leaving, she had her 14-year-old son Jax go back inside to grab her flowers. RHOBH star Erika Jayne was still sitting with Dorit Kemsley, and when she saw Jax, she yelled at him, “Get the f*** out.”
In a preview for the next episode, Kyle and Dorit recounted the shocking moment with Maurico and Dorit’s husband, PK Kemsley. Kyle appeared to be laughing at Erika’s behavior and later said in a confessional, “It’s not funny, but it is funny.” Although Dorit initially said she was “sick to her stomach” when she witnessed Erika cursing at Jax, she laughed along with PK and Mauricio. Following the episode, Kyle received a lot of heat from RHOBH fans and defended her actions by explaining that she was laughing at Erika, not endorsing being verbally abusive to a child.
Kyle and Mauricio’s youngest daughter Portia has unfortunately been caught in the crossfire of her parents’ actions. RHOBH fans took to Portia’s most recent Instagram post, dated January 2, to leave very critical comments. Many repeated Erika’s words to Jax and wrote, “Get the f*** out of here, Portia.” A fan wrote, “Hey tell your mom and dad they’re awful so laughing at a grown adult telling a child to eff off--if someone did that to you they’d be flipping out.” Another wrote, “How does it feel having a mean bully as a mom and that horrible guy you call dad.”
Many RHOBH viewers chimed in to tell the keyboard warriors to leave Portia out of the housewives' drama. One responded, “Leave her daughter out of this, she had nothing to do with what happened on the show.” Another called out the hypocrisy of Jax's defenders by writing, “Aww come on people, Portia isn’t to blame for her parents' actions. You can’t be angry with Erika telling Jax to F off & then come and do the same to Portia.” Although it seems as if Portia isn’t very active on her Instagram account, many commenters tagged Kyle and Mauricio, but they have remained silent thus far. It also looks like Portia has now deactivated comments on her account.
Erika has received negative press since becoming embroiled in her estranged husband Tom Girardi’s legal investigation. Many accused her of being cold and unfeeling towards his victims. Cursing at a child has put another target on her back. Kyle laughing about it just lumped her in with Erika. Fans are also calling Kyle out for blindly taking new RHOBH star Diana Jenkins’ side over Sutton Stracke and grabbing her in the latest episode. Kyle used to be a fan-favorite on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but her latest actions are asking for viewers to cancel the star.
