Lisa Rinna was never on board with Amelia Hamlin dating Scott Disick, but The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star "tried" to be supportive. Now that Amelia and Scott are over, Lisa can speak freely about how she really felt about their months-long romance. With an 18-year age gap, there was a lot of controversy surrounding Amelia and Scott. The father of three was used to receiving backlash over dating much younger women and didn't care. But Lisa wasn't and had to get through the ordeal.
Amelia and Scott first went public with their relationship while attending Kendall Jenner's birthday party. Shortly after, they started teasing their romance through a series of dates over dinner or at the beach. After making it through the holiday season together, Scott and Amelia enjoyed a few months together in Miami before heading out to spend the summer in the Hamptons. However, things came to a screeching end when Scott was caught DM'ing Younes Bendjima to bad mouth their mutual ex, Kourtney Kardashian. Scott's message revealed how bothered he was by Kourtney's constant PDA with Travis Barker. Once Amelia could see how obsessed Scott still was with his ex, she decided to part ways with the Talentless founder.
Now that Amelia has parted ways from her much older boyfriend, Lisa can let out a sigh of relief. She recently admitted to how opposed she was of her youngest daughter dating the controversial reality star. "I've actually been quite nice about Scott Disick, and I would never say that out loud," Lisa told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. "I might have thought things that weren't very polite. Can I atone for my thoughts? Yeah."
Throughout RHOBH season 13, Lisa has expressed her gripes over Amelia and Scott's relationship. She even admitted that she would rather see her daughter date pop star Harry Styles than Scott Disick. However, while they were together, Lisa tried her best to be supportive of her daughter's decisions. "I wasn't mean. Listen, I tried really hard. I was really patient and I tried really hard. We'll leave it at that," Lisa said. The Bravo star didn't hold back from expressing her joy when Amelia finally broke up with Scott.
Lisa left a smiley face emoji under a blog post reporting on their breakup and even posted a photo of Harry Styles. Meanwhile, Amelia hasn't made a peep about Scott after sharing a cryptic quote that said to "never settle." Sources said Lisa played a part in Amelia's decision to leave Scott because The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was "never a fan" of their relationship. Amelia is only 20 years old and has a whole future ahead of her when it comes to dating and building her career. Scott is now single and on the outs with Kourtney after showing his jealousy over her being with Travis, which is not a good place to be in.
