The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star and actor Lisa Rinna thanked her “haters” after receiving a People’s Choice Awards nomination for "The Reality Star of 2021." The actor has been a controversial castmate in the Bravo franchise for seven years, but many fans enjoy her candor and vulnerability. This season on the show, as Erika Jayne faced an onslaught of criticism for her supposed connection to her husband’s alleged misconduct, Lisa defended her friend to the bitter end, showing both loyalty and kindness. Many fans were relieved to see someone standing up for the 50-year-old pop star, who had little support from her castmates.

Like any reality star from the Real Housewives franchise, however, Lisa has alternated between hero and villain, depending on viewers’ perception of the season. In RHOBH season 10, when the women attacked Denise Richards for her sexuality, Lisa was not seen in a positive light. However, during an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Lisa was asked if there was anything she’d like to atone for. She expressed her regret in treating Denise with cruelty, and Lisa seemed genuinely sorry that she hurt her friend. Unlike many cast members from the Real Housewives, Lisa usually apologizes for her wrongdoing.

After being nominated at the People’s Choice Awards for "The Reality Star of 2021," Lisa went to Instagram and thanked her “haters," adding the cocktail and diamond emojis. She also expressed that it was a “shocker of all shockers that she even received the nomination. She then said she felt “Hunky Dory," which is an expression Kathy Hilton didn’t understand during an episode of RHOBH.

Although Lisa also thanked her fans in the post, she probably understood that critics often fuel the most media attention for a star, which is why they get award nominations like the one Lisa received. Last year, the award went to Khloé Kardashian from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Lisa’s show, The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, is also nominated at the People’s Choice Awards for "The Best Reality TV Show of 2021." Fans have until November 17 to vote for their favorites.

The reunion episodes of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills reached a season high in the ratings, proving that the show is still strong. Many viewers tuned in to see Erika answer questions about her legal saga. Fans and co-stars felt that Erika answered the questions honestly and boldly, despite the obvious emotions she was going through. Lucky for Erika, she has one friend who will stand by her side no matter what, showing true loyalty. Perhaps Lisa’s steadfastness was another reason why she nabbed the nomination.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8pm on Bravo.
