After coming out with her new beauty line, Lisa Rinna from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is being slammed by fans who think she is creating this brand because she is hungry for money.
Lisa Rinna joined RHOBH back in 2014 for the 5th season, along with fellow soap star Eileen Davidson. Rinna became quite the popular housewife, gaining a lot of fans during her first Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season. She was a fan favorite on the show up until this past season, after she and fellow cast members, Kyle Richards, Teddi Mellencamp, and Erika Girardi ganged up on Denise Richards and claimed she was lying about not having an affair with a former cast member, Brandi Glanville. It seems as though her fans are no longer standing by her.
According to All About The Tea, the 57-year-old revealed her upcoming beauty brand via her social media on September 24. The actress is kicking off her brand with a line of lipstick kits but many fans seem to think she is forcing herself into an industry she knows nothing about. Rinna posted a video of her upcoming brand with this caption: “A decade in the making, Rinna Beauty is finally here. I’m thrilled to share my chic, sexy, bold lip liner, lipstick, and lip gloss with you.” She added, "my @rinnabeauty is a lifestyle. It’s not just about how you feel on the outside, but how you feel on the inside. I want to bring fun and joy into your lives, while you feel and look gorgeous at the same time." Now, fans are accusing the RHOBH reality star of being money hungry and forcing herself into an industry she is unfamiliar with. One fan said in a tweet about her new brand, "No shade, you just don’t have an approachable looking face for makeup or the pre-existing makeup skills/reputation. It would definitely be a no for me..."
Not all RHOBH fans are hating simply because of her new beauty line. Her behavior this past season was polarizing, to say the least. One angry fan used her feud with Denise Richards as just one of the reasons they wouldn't buy her products, saying, “you are so desperate for work/money you’re willing to sink your friends (and their marriage) in order to sustain your role on a reality program. That kind of character can only put their name to garbage in order to earn $$$ I wouldn’t trust a thing you sell let alone beauty.” This particular fan is not only mentioning the Denise drama, but also the fact that Rinna will do anything for money.
Another fan said they would not buy anything she was selling as they think she is a bully: "Does it cover up your nasty personality?" One fan tweeted, "Change the name to bully beauty. You want people to support you after we got to see the real Rinna? That’s a hard pass. Thanks.”
It seems as though her fans are not enjoying her new beauty line. Rinna's treatment of Denise is generating a lot of hatred towards the RHOBH's star's new business venture. Will RHOBH fans choose other beauty brands instead? While many fans will still support and buy her products, there are many that will not. Hopefully, Rinna dials back the bullying next season. If she does, maybe RHOBH fans will be willing to forgive and forget.
