The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards is opening up about her experience filming The Housewives of The North Pole. The new Christmas movie is a Peacock original featuring a Real Housewives star-studded cast. The Housewives of The North Pole is a fun change of pace for Kyle, whose most recent film appearance was in the latest edition of the iconic horror film series, Halloween Kills.

One of Kyle's first acting appearances was in the 1978 film Halloween where she starred in the role of Lisa Wallace. Kyle also appeared in Little House on the Prairie from 1974 to 1983. Since then, she has had several other on-screen appearances before she began starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 1. While Kyle remains a fixture of the Beverly Hills franchise, she recently reprised the iconic role of Lisa Wallace in Halloween Killswhich premiered on October 15, 2021. Kyle sustained a broken nose on the set of Halloween Kills, but now, Kyle is switching gears for the holiday season as she plays the role of Trish, a woman competing against her best friend to have the best Christmas display.

Kyle tells Digital Spy that she was unsure about the inclusion of several other members of the Real Housewives franchise in the new Christmas film, saying "It's so funny because when they were thinking about that, I was a little bit like, well, I don't know." She adds that she came around to the idea, realizing that while the film is not an official part of the franchise, fans would likely still appreciate it nonetheless. When discussing which of the reality stars would be making cameos, Kyle says Lisa Barlow came to mind due to the fact that The Housewives of The North Pole would be filming in Utah. "I'm like, that's where she lives," Kyle enthusiastically recalls.

Kyle reveals that although the movie features cameos from fan favorites, she was unable to meet with all of them. She explains that she was likely on set at a different time than the other cast members, saying that she was "doing night shoots and coming home at like three in the morning, so I think they did some early morning shoots." Kyle says that she "was disappointed [she] didn't even get to say 'hi' to them on the set." She adds that she was surprised to see them on-screen upon the film's premiere, saying "when they popped up in the movie when I first saw it, I was like, 'Oh my god, that's right! They're in the movie!' It was really fun to see them, really, really fun." In addition to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, The Housewives of the North Pole features Sonja Morgan, Cynthia Bailey, as well as Karen Huger.

While more cast members from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills weren't included in the recent Peacock original, an original Beverly Hills cast member with an acting resumé that might actually be longer than Santa Claus' checklist is the perfect addition to this soon to be Christmas classic. The Housewives of the North Pole seems to have been an overall positive experience for Kyle, and one with minimal drama and maximum cheer. It's unfortunate that Kyle was unable to meet with the rest of the housewives during filming this time around, but hopefully, fans can look forward to a sequel in their Christmas future and another opportunity for Kyle to get to meet up with Lisa and other Real Housewives cast members.
