Kathy Hilton is reportedly returning for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 after the rumored ongoing money dispute with Bravo. Fans were introduced to Kathy last season as a "friend of" the cast through her sister Kyle Richards, a full-time cast member on the show. Even though she was initially hesitant to join the reality series, Kathy ultimately had a fun time filming and reconnecting with her younger sister.

Not only did Kathy have a good time filming the series, but she has also become a beloved member of the show. Despite the darkness of Erika Jayne's legal issue with her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, viewers saw Kathy's quirky personality as a breath of fresh air to the season. Kathy would often say funny one-liners and catchphrases while also making hilarious mistakes such as accidentally putting ear drops in her eyes. Now viewers can't imagine RHOBH without her.

TMZ was the first to report that Kathy will be returning to the Bravo reality series after months of negotiations. The mother of Paris Hilton was allegedly holding out on signing any contracts until she received more money. The deal was done just in time for her to guarantee an appearance from the 64-year-old next season. Kathy had been negotiating with the Bravo producers for weeks until they came to an agreement for her to, once again, appear as a "friend of," and to make regular appearances. However, Kathy won't be in front of the camera anytime soon. Apparently, Kathy won't start shooting with the rest of the cast until after the holidays in 2022.

Before her negotiations came to an end, Kathy was reportedly refusing to film with the cast until her needs were met. She allegedly felt like she was being undervalued by the producers and insisted on a pay raise. However, Kyle said that wasn't the reason Kathy had been absent from filming. Kyle said her sister was busy planning her daughter Paris's wedding to Carter Reum. Other sources say that was not the reason, and money is what put a wedge between Kathy and filming. The Los Angeles native seemed to choose the wrong week to finish her negotiations, seeing as half the cast is unable to film. Garcelle Beauvais announced she tested positive for COVID-19 in an Instagram video on Monday morning. Shortly after her video was posted, it was revealed Lisa Rinna and Erika also tested positive for the virus.

Now that Kathy is returning to The Real Houseiwves of Beverly Hills, viewers are excited to see her make a return. While she probably won't be on the whole season, Kathy is sure to make a splash when she finally makes her return.
