While many fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are more than grateful for the appearance of Kathy Hilton this season, others are worried her behavior is similar to Kim Richards. Kathy is witty, goofy, and sometimes out of it on the show, which is why fans find her so amusing. However, some think this is a sign that viewers should be concerned.
As most RHOBH fans know, Kathy is the sister of Kim and Kyle Richards. Kim was a former housewife who unfortunately struggled with alcohol and drugs while filming on the show in the earlier seasons. Kim was constantly doing odd things, had a glassy-eyed appearance, and slurred her speech to the point where fans sometimes could not understand what she was trying to say. She just never seemed to be all there mentally on the show and viewers were worried for her well-being.
Some people are worried about Kathy’s well-being as well. A fan on Reddit said, “Not trying to be harsh, but she seems really out of it.” The fan went on to explain how Kathy can never see anything, yet she can read newspapers in bed in the middle of the night without wearing contacts or glasses. There was also the odd situation when Kathy thought Garcelle Beauvais was her sister Kyle. The two women look absolutely nothing alike. The fan voiced concerns saying, “I don’t know exactly what’s going on there, but parts of it are disturbingly reminiscent of her sister Kim’s odd behavior on the show.” Fans are also concerned by how Kathy dresses on the show. They say she is loaded with money yet she always looks like she got “dressed in the dark in someone else’s low-rent closet.”
A fan on Reddit pointed out the fact that Kathy does not seem to even know how to plug a power cord into a wall. There was also the hilarious but odd confession she made to Kyle that she accidentally put ear drops in her eyes. Kathy does always seem to be a little out of it while filming. She does and says strange things and she never seems to fully understand what the other housewives are talking about. However, could it just be that she is a quirky person? While her behavior is odd, it really is nothing compared to the erratic and bizarre behavior Kim displayed on the show.
Some fans may be concerned about Kathy and perhaps that is just because they know her sister’s past struggles with alcohol and drugs. However, it really just seems like she is a happy-go-lucky person who is just a little goofy. Kathy is honestly a refreshing addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
