The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais had nothing but good words about co-star Kathy Hilton while discussing the show's newly released trailer. RHOBH's new season 12 trailer was packed with drama and talking points, and fans have been unable to get over the tensions. The drama-filled trailer showed Erika Jayne in a heated argument with Crystal Kung Minkoff over the singer's alleged involvement in estranged husband Tom Girardi's embezzlement case.
The trailer also showed Garcelle and Erika's heated moment. It all started during another group outing in which Erika asked Garcelle if she was trying to make her look bad or being genuinely concerned. However, Garcelle clapped back at Erika, saying, "I don't have to make you look bad. You can do that on your own." The trailer also featured Lisa Rinna claiming that Erika has been mixing alcohol with antidepressants. Later, Erika admitted that she wants Kathy Hilton, last season's fan favorite, to have her turn in the hot seat.
In the aftermath of the trailer's release, Garcelle has opened up about her feelings. During an interview with Page Six at the American Heart Association Red Dress Collection Concert in Hollywood, California, on Thursday, Garcelle revealed she watched the trailer in real-time with the rest of the show's fans. The 55-year-old reality television star said the show's cast was told about the incoming trailer but did not have access to it. She added, "And so I watched it on my phone as I was getting glam for tonight, and I was like, 'Oh, my God.'" Garcelle felt the trailer was good and strong, adding that it highlighted what people would have conflict over during the season. However, she expressed her reservation about the Kathy issue, saying, "And then I think, you know, the Kathy thing, I don't like," before elaborating, "I think she's a great woman, and I think the show thrives on drama."
Garcelle also discussed her relationship with Erika, noting that it hadn't gone in the direction she thought it would. She explained, "Yes and no. Yes and no, honestly. There's a few, you know, bumps in the road." When asked if she and Erika were on better terms now than when the new season started filming, Garcelle replied, "No." Although Garcelle's relationship with Erika is at a low ebb, her bond with her best friend, Sheree Zampino, keeps getting stronger. Sheree will make her RHOBH debut as a "friend of" and quickly experienced the way drama endlessly flows during filming. Garcelle revealed her best friend's feelings, saying, "Literally, every 15 minutes, she's like, 'What the hell?'" She explained, "She had never gone on a girls' trip, so when we went on the girls' trip, she was like, 'I can't handle it.' She was like, 'Y'all do too much.'"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 premieres May 11 and its first trailer already shows that it will be packed with drama and tense moments. Going by what transpired in the trailer and Garcelle's praise for Kathy, it looks as if she and last season's fans' favorite will get along just fine. However, fans hoping that Garcelle and Erika will get along soon will have to wait much longer as the co-stars' friendship continues to be bumpy.
