The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne has returned to Twitter in a big way after taking some time away from tweeting. The star's over-the-top social media presence was called into question over the course of RHOBH season 11 when viewers learned more about Erika's ongoing legal drama. The "Pretty Mess" singer allegedly accepted millions of dollars from her former husband Tom Girardi's alleged embezzlement schemes against disaster victims he represented as a lawyer. Amid her many controversies, Erika kept up her infamous cold exterior on-screen and online and fans were quick to call out Erika's behavior on social media amidst the scandal.

Many viewers took issue with Erika's blasé attitude about the victims of Tom's alleged crimes, as she continued to flaunt her wealth and be outspoken about it online. While Erika received plenty of backlash about what many thought were tone-deaf posts on Instagram, Erika's Twitter became a particularly hostile environment during RHOBH season 11. The reality star warred with followers about her innocence almost daily. Erika's back-and-forth with Twitter users came to a head when it appeared that she endorsed one fan's comparison of her to the crucifixion of Jesus. Twitter users slammed Erika for the outrageous comparison, which she later clarified in a tweet. "No, I did not compare myself to Christ, someone else did and I reposted it," Erika wrote. "Now everyone can have a pretend meltdown about it." The online drama led the reality star to step away from Twitter for several weeks while she continued to use Instagram.

Erika made a surprise return to Twitter on Nov. 14. "Hiiiiii," Erika tweeted simply, cheekily adding an angel emoji. Erika's short tweet ended a five-week Twitter hiatus. The following day, Erika marked her official return to Twitter in a classic Erika Jayne way, by posting a glam photo of herself.

Erika tweeted out a racy glam photo of herself Nov. 15 with another simple caption: "Monday." The semi-nude shot was a recycled photoshoot pic she had posted to Instagram in September. Despite taking some time away, followers didn't seem to let up on Erika's nonchalance about the lawsuits against her. "Pay the victims!" one user replied to Erika's photo. "Glad to see you are working social media to find the next bankroll," another user responded, roasting Erika's financial struggles that resulted from her divorce and legal strife.

Now that it's confirmed Erika is filming for RHOBH season 12, it's likely the fan wars under Erika's tweets will continue. Because Erika's legal drama isn't going away anytime soon, the upcoming season is said to continue following Erika's storyline about her lawsuits and divorce. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans will likely continue to air out their opinions on Erika's controversial situation on Twitter. There's no telling how Erika herself may react to more backlash.
