Lisa stands out among the other housewives in RHOBH's twelfth season for her tendency to be in the thick of arguments. She clashed with Sutton Stracke early on over the Elton John gala and a misunderstanding over who paid for the tickets. Sutton claimed to have bought tickets to the event for Lisa and her husband, Harry Hamlin, which she said Lisa never thanked her for. Lisa was hurt and offended by the accusation and came with receipts that Sutton had not paid for their tickets as she claimed. What ensued was growing tension between the two women, each formidable in their own right, which bubbled over into full-blown fighting.
Lisa has a history of stirring the pot and speaking her mind. The soap actress is known not only for her signature big lips and layered hairstyle but for her loud mouth and willingness to address the elephant in the room. Not everyone appreciates her style of conflict, however, and many fans have lamented her role on RHOBH in recent years, accusing her of jumping into arguments to beef up her storyline or garner attention. Lisa recently found herself in hot water over comments she made about the women of The Real Housewives of Dubai. Lisa threw shade at the housewives over social media, and they hit back with verve and anger. Lisa ultimately apologized to the women, but the damage was done among viewers who felt Lisa took things too far.
While she had many loyal fans, Lisa has a new critic in television personality Denise Welch. Denise took to social media to share her thoughts on Lisa's behavior this season and how she treats the other women on the show. Ahead of her appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Lisa shared a tweet encouraging viewers to have a rum and Coca-Cola in honor of her late mother. Lisa's mother, Lois, who was beloved by fans, passed away in November 2021.
Now Lisa Rinna is in the thick of grieving her mother both personally and publicly. In response to Lisa's tweet, Denise wrote, "I lost my dad in September. It didn't make me vile to everyone!! You can't excuse your behavior and hide behind your loss." The English actress did not hold back and further wrote, "Your mum would be horrified. I used to adore you!!" While Denise took offense to Lisa's behavior, Sutton, who much of Lisa's anger was directed toward, does not seem as upset.
The tweet, though strongly worded and damning, struck a chord with many fans. Many of the responses to the tweet echoed Denise's sentiments, and viewers came out of the woodwork to say that though they had previously enjoyed Lisa's antics, they now find her insufferable. Still, others claim she deserved some space and grace in the wake of suffering the loss of her mother, with whom she was very close. Whether fans love her or hate her, Lisa is a pillar of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
