Former The Real Housewives of Dallas star Cary Deuber is detailing her first encounter with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne, calling her shady and not nice. Cary appeared on RHOD for three seasons before calling it quits and moving on. While on the show, Cary documented her struggles of trying to find the balance between feeling fulfilled in her career as a nurse while also being a present mother and wife, as well as sharing her family life. Cary got in on the drama, often butting heads with the so-called villain of the show, LeeAnne Locken. During one season in particular, Cary was fighting against rumors, which LeeAnne was spreading, that her husband Mark is gay and has been cheating on her with multiple men around Dallas.

Cary decided to leave the show after three seasons to focus more on her family. Since leaving the show, Cary has not slowed down and still has a lot of projects in the works. Cary has not left the reality TV world completely behind her, as she recently announced she filmed a new reality show with her husband. The show, called Plump It Up, will follow her and her husband as they run their medical practice Lemmon Avenue Plastic Surgery & Laser Center in Dallas together. Aside from growing her medical practice and working on the show, Cary has been spending the pandemic with her husband and daughter. After getting the vaccine, the family took trips to the Maldives and Mexico for some quality family bonding time.

Cary is now opening up about her first impression of RHOBH's Erika, claiming it wasn't a good one and that she found Erika to be shady and not very kind. During a recent appearance on the Behind the Yellow Rope With David Yontef podcast, Cary recalled meeting her in New York while out with LeeAnne. After revealing she had met Erika, David asked her how she thinks housewives can avoid getting caught up in a similar situation as Erika; Cary said they just shouldn't be shady. She said if someone is shady and has a shady personal life, then going on reality TV is probably not the best idea. Cary also said that if they're a shady person and choose to put their life out there for the public, they are essentially asking to be caught and deserve whatever comes their way.

During the interview, Cary also dove deeper into what her first impression of Erika was. She said they have only met one time, but that was enough for her. Cary recalls sitting next to her during an US Weekly party and getting a negative vibe from Erika. She said they exchanged hellos to each other, but aside from that, Erika was not very kind. Cary thought since they were both housewives, she deserved the same respect from Erika that she was giving her. She said she may not be from Beverly Hills, but she's a good person, and Erika should not have felt as if she could treat her with such disrespect. This might not be hard to believe for some fans, who have seen Erika blow up on her co-stars on a number of occasions.

Was Cary shading Erika when she called her a shady person or was she actually giving some sound advice? Erika isn't the first housewife to find herself in trouble with the law. Most notably, RHONJ star Teresa Giudice and her husband went to prison for a number of years for crimes involving their finances. It was clear from the first season that something shady was going on in their personal lives. It begs the question as to whether or not they would have been caught had they never appeared on the show and put themselves under the public eye. Did the fact that Erika constantly flaunted her wealth and frequently spoke about her glam squad and how much it cost on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills contribute to investigators putting the puzzle pieces together? It would be interesting to know what role the show played in all of this.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8pm on Bravo.
