Porsha Williams is seemingly shading reports of The Real Housewives of Atlanta receiving low ratings in the first season since her exit. Porsha announced her departure last summer ahead of season 14. Her announcement came after exiting her post on Dish Nation following a shocking engagement reveal with Simon Guobadia. Many viewers suspect Porsha skipped out on returning to avoid being called out about her controversial relationship.

RHOA viewers were shocked when, a few weeks after the season 13 reunion, Porsha started fueling dating rumors with Simon. With Simon appearing in season 13 as the husband of "Porsha's friend" Falynn Pina, all eyes were on the new couple and how they managed to fall in love so quickly after Simon and Falynn's divorce. When confirming the relationship, Porsha claimed that she wasn't friends with Falynn, despite her title on the show. What ensued was weeks of messy social media jabs between Simon and Falynn accusing each other of cheating during their marriage. Viewers were eager to watch all of the drama play out in season 14. When Porsha announced her exit, audiences wondered who would help carry the show.

Despite the return of OG cast member Shereé Whitfield, season 14 has received dismal ratings. Following the premiere, The Real Housewives Franchise Instagram account shared that the episode brought in 933,000 people, "making it the lowest live-viewed episode in the history of RHOA," the fan page noted. "For context, season 13 premiered to 1.418 million live-viewers." Amid the reports of the low season 14 ratings, Top Tier Housewives shared a throwback clip of NeNe Leakes boasting about Porsha. Once Porsha caught wind of the shady tweet, she responded and added a kiss face emoji. Her response seemingly hinted at her awareness of how the show is struggling to resonate with viewers in her absence.

In the wake of NeNe's absence and lawsuit against Bravo, Porsha is the next housewife in the franchise who's known for being at the center of the drama. It's likely part of the reason she opted to appear in her solo spin-off Porsha's Family Matters. The six-episode season covered Porsha's family drama after announcing her engagement to Simon. Considering the backlash Porsha received for her behavior on the show, returning to RHOA is probably the last thing on her list at the moment, despite the struggling ratings.

Still, RHOA has cast members who are known to have compelling storylines and speak their mind, including Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, and even Marlo Hampton, who received a full-time spot in season 14. Shereé also has a reputation for not biting her tongue when engaged in a shade-throwing session. Meanwhile, Drew Sidora is back for her second season and sharing her marital woes with Ralph Pittman. Additionally, Sanya Richards-Ross brings new energy to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The potential for a good season is there, but Housewives viewers have to be willing to tune in to see it. Of course, if Porsha were to return with Simon, curious audiences would surely check out season 14.
