Ralph Pittman, the husband of Drew Sidora from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is getting candid about his recent behavior on the show.

Drew began her journey on the Bravo reality series The Real Housewives of Atlanta during season 13. She joined the new season of RHOA alongside returning cast members Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and Cynthia Bailey. While the ladies are usually at the center of the drama, Drew's husband has been the cause of some of it this season.

During an interview in December, Ralph opened up about experiencing some hardships during the show. He said that he originally did not want to be a part of it. “I did not want to be on [RHOA] at all. I didn’t want to do it. However, when my wife sat down and had our kids, one thing I promised her is that I would support her career in whatever it is that she wanted to do,” he revealed during his interview with Rolling Out‘s AM Wake-Up. Even though the father of three initially wasn't excited about the idea of being on a reality TV show, he eventually came around to the idea after praying about it and speaking to a spiritual counselor. The counselor said, ‘This show is going to be a blessing to other people. It’s bigger than just you,'” Ralph recalled. Although his counselor believed that that show would be a blessing, Ralph was not expecting to jump into RHOA relationship issues right away.

Ralph revealed that while they were filming RHOA, he was dealing with a lot, from being Drew's temporary nurse to George Floyd's death. “Depression and anxiety, it impacts people differently and so when those situations actually occur, that’s time to say, ‘Let me see what’s really, truly going on with him. Let me see where his state is,'” he said of the situation. He added, “There’s tools you need to be able to recover from any kind of trauma and that’s exactly what it was.” Ralph did not know how to express his anxieties to Drew, leading him to skip town for three days and go to Tampa, Florida, without letting his wife know. “I didn’t have the tools to be able to get through [what I was feeling]. It was like, ‘I need to get away because I’m in crisis mode,’" he admitted. As for the cameras in their home, Ralph reveals they were not put there to spy on Drew and his family. Ralph has cameras in his home for safety and the argument was a misunderstanding on Drew's part.

Looking back on the episodes, Ralph sees why he can be perceived as a mean-spirited guy but insists the fans are only getting a small glimpse of who he is, which was captured during a traumatic time in his life. "Hopefully throughout the show as you keep watching, you’ll see other sides of me as well,” he concluded. Will Ralph's attitude change as the season progresses? Fans hope so, as they are beginning to feel like Drew should think twice about staying in this marriage with him.
