Zack Snyder's recent cameo in the animated series Teen Titans Go! has led to a resurgence of the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse campaign, which calls for Snyder to take point on the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) again. Teen Titans Go! first premiered in 2013 and is based off of the DC Comics young superhero team. At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Snyder would have a cameo in the 365th episode as an animated version of himself. The episode premiered on September 16th, 2022, and marked the conclusion of the show's 7th season.Snyder is best known for his work with Warner Bros. on the DCEU. He directed Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder's Justice League. Zack Snyder's Justice League was released in 2021 after fans campaigned for Snyder's director's cut of Justice League as he was replaced as director by Joss Whedon in the original 2017 version. Snyder is slated to produce several upcoming DCEU films, but hasn't directed one since Justice League. However, Snyder's cameo in Teen Titans Go! has fans wanting him to take on a more active role in the DCEU.Related: Superman Meeting Alfred In The Snyder Cut Is Deeper Than You RealizeAs reported by CBR, Snyder's cameo in Teen Titans Go! has led to a resurgence of the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse campaign. The hashtag that has begun trending on Twitter is actually not a new one. It has trended more than once in the past as fans demand that Snyder take over the DCEU universe once again. The campaign calls for Snyder to be able to continue his directorial work in the DCEU, without studio interference, similar to his director's cut of Justice League. Check out some examples of the reactions below:

It is quite ironic that the campaign has been refueled by Snyder's cameo, considering that some took his appearance to signify the end of the SnyderVerse. Regardless of fans' wishes, it is quite clear that the DCEU has been heading in an entirely new direction since the SnyderVerse. Hence, his cameo in Teen Titans Go! seemed to be included as a way of honoring his legacy, rather than indicating a major return. Still the cameo is leading fans to reiterate their love for Snyder's DCEU work and their wishes to see more of it in the future.

Unfortunately, the outlook for the SnyderVerse being restored isn't very good. DCEU is changing course in a major way, especially since the shake-up that resulted from Warner Bros. merging with Discovery. Warner Bros. is now creating a 10-year plan for the DCEU and there isn't much indication it will involve Snyder. Meanwhile, Snyder has also moved on from the DCEU with the debut of his 2021 film, Army of the Dead, and he hasn't indicated much interest in making a return. That said, it was a fan campaign that contributed largely to Zack Snyder's Justice League being released by Warner Bros. despite initial reluctance in. Snyder's Teen Titans Go! cameo reminded fans of how much they enjoy the SnyderVerse, but it remains to be seen if there is any power to their #RestoreTheSnyderVerse campaign.
