During the "Taro's Love" quest in Kena: Bridge of Spirits, players must restore several corrupted shrines throughout the Forgotten Forest, including one called the God Tree Shrine. To begin, Kena should enter the Forgotten Forest and speak to Rusu, who will grant the quest. Rusu will explain that the shrines have been corrupted and ask Kena to restore them. After speaking with Rusu, each shrine will be clearly marked on the map, so finding them should be no issue. Getting to the God Tree Shrine itself, however, requires a few steps.

To reach the shrine, Kena must climb the God Tree. Players should travel to its location on the map and have Kena search around its base for a blue Lotus Flower. They will need to shoot the flower with an arrow to whip up to the first platform. Kena can continue up the tree's trunk by leaping up and climbing its platforms and ledges until there is a larger wooden platform, past the closed bud of a Lotus. From this platform, players should turn to face the tree across from the God Tree — it will have a wooden cable car-like mechanism attached to it — and shoot the Lotus on its trunk.

Kena should circle around this tree to the wooden cable car and board it. She will need to face the tree opposite the cable car, which is connected to the other side of the cable. She must shoot the blue crystal on its trunk to get the cable car moving and ride it to the other end. At the end of the line, Kena can hop off the wooden car and scale the tree. Eventually, there will be a larger wooden platform that directly faces the corrupted God Tree Shrine.

How to Restore The God Tree Shrine in Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Kena can use her bow to shoot blue Lotus Flowers that will carry her across distances in Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Kena can shoot a blue Lotus Flower to return to the God Tree or stay on the platform that faces it. Either way, enemies will spawn and begin attacking. Flying insect-like enemies will attack with fireballs; slower, bipedal enemies will attack at melee range. The most dangerous are the three purple-eyed Branch Tossers that launch glowing wooden javelins from a distance.

The flying and melee enemies are relatively easy to handle. The bug-like creatures can be shot down with arrows, and the close-range enemies are quick to fall to Kena's melee attacks. However, the purple-eyed Branch Tossers require more hits to be defeated. One is on the God Tree, one is on the tree to the left of the shrine, and one is on the tree with the platform across from the shrine. It can be helpful to frequently Lotus Whip between these three trees to avoid the Tossers' attacks and to get a better shot at each one.

Once all these enemies have been eliminated, the large orange flower on the God Tree Shrine will open, and the deadzone heart at its center will glow. To recover the shrine, players can either shoot the heart or use Kena's pulse ability at close range. The God Tree Shrine will be freed from its corruption and can now be safely approached.
