Resident Evil Village has captured the hearts and minds of many, including Domino's Pizza. The major pizza chain has been using Resident Evil Village's breakout star, Lady Dimitrescu, to market its pizzas, seemingly using people's thirst over the character to try and entice players into ordering food.

Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu has been a hot topic for many months now. The vampire made a name for herself due to her extreme height, causing many to form rather intense "crushes" on the character. Many have used her absurd qualities and excessively flirty nature to make plentiful memes, but it was only a matter of time before the brands got in on the action.

Pizza chain Domino's Pizza started tweeting about Lady Dimitrescu to celebrate the release of Resident Evil Village. The global pizza brand tweeted a gif of the infamous vampire chowing down on some Domino's Pizza, noting that fans should take a break from the new game and order some for themselves. It's classic cross-brand marketing, except it's unlikely Capcom had much to do with this viral marketing. Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu was also the subject of a recent YouTube parody that imagines what the character would look like with an action figure, which perfectly captured the ridiculousness of both the character and some of her fans.

Although Lady Dimitrescu is only a small part of Resident Evil Village's story, it's likely that she won't be forgotten. The character left a notable impact on players and has the most memorable level in the entire game, thanks to a sprawling castle filled with secrets and creepy history. Capcom seemingly didn't expect the character to have such a major influence on fans, but it was probably the greatest accidental marketing scheme the company could've produced.

With that said, it's no surprise that the likes of Domino's Pizza wanted to take Capcom's serendipitous marketing strategy and work it into its own. Not only do people respond well to these kinds of cross-brand promotions, but seeing Lady Dimitrescu specifically eating pizza is probably going to get the internet talking. With all of the hype around Resident Evil Village recently, it's likely that there will be no shortage of memes making the rounds on social media in the coming weeks. Capcom is already reportedly developing a sequel, but it seems unlikely Lady Dimitrescu will make a return, much to the dismay of fans.
