A new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil Village Gold Edition DLC shows Lady Dimitrescu, Heisenberg and Chris Redfield battling hordes of foes. Beating the first-person horror game's main story unlocks Mercenaries, an arcade mode that challenges players with taking down waves of enemies to progress. The upcoming Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose DLC will add a wealth of new content to the survival horror experience, including three new playable Mercenaries characters.
The Gold Edition of Resident Evil Village will add new content to every part of the terrifying title. The Shadows of Rose expansion will serve as a follow-up to the game's main story, with players controlling Ethan's daughter Rose years after the main campaign. This expansion is expected to be much harder than Resident Evil Village itself, which took inspiration from Resident Evil 4 and focused on combat. A new third-person mode will be used in Shadows of Rose, and the Gold Edition will also let players experience the base game in third person rather than first. Finally, new Mercenaries Mode content will make Lady Dimitrescu playable in Resident Evil Village alongside Chris Redfield and Karl Heisenberg.

Like his segment in Resident Evil Village's single-player campaign, Resident Evil alumnus Chris Redfield will mow down enemies with an assault rifle and explosive weaponry. Karl Heisenberg, meanwhile, uses his signature hammer and electrical powers to decimate his foes and can summon a Soldat Jet companion. Finally, Lady Dimitrescu's breathtaking stature and razor-sharp claws make her a beautiful and deadly player character that gains power and speed with every kill. Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, and its additional Mercenaries characters, will release on October 28.
Even before the game launched last year Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu had become a pop culture sensation. The vampire matriarch is nearly 10 feet tall, and her statuesque beauty quickly drew the attention of fans. In the game players encounter Lady Dimitrescu in her castle, where she pursues protagonist Ethan Winters and is eventually fought in the form of a monstrous vampire dragon. The iconic antagonist is easily the most famous villain in Resident Evil Village, and soon players will actually control her within new Mercenaries levels.
Resident Evil Village delivered a fresh survival horror experience, and its upcoming Gold Edition will introduce even more content for fans to bite into. Adding Chris Redfield, Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu to Mercenaries will greatly expand the horde mode by giving players new abilities and weapons. Lady Dimitrescu threatened Ethan Winters with her staggering size and terrifying claws, but soon Resident Evil Village players will become the murderous matriarch herself.
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will release on October 28 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Google Stadia.
