Here's a rundown of every extra found on the Resident Evil: Vendetta Blu-ray. George A. Romero was famously attached to write and direct the original Resident Evil movie, which would have remained relatively close to the first game. Romero was later fired and replaced by Paul W.S. Anderson, with his adaptation bearing little resemblance to the source material. He would direct or produce every entry, with the sixth and final movie arriving in 2017; Johannes Roberts is set to helm a reboot.
Outside of the Resident Evil movie franchise, there exists a trilogy of CGI movies. These movies are canon to the events of the video games, with Leon Kennedy being a main character in each one. The first was 2008's Resident Evil: Degeneration, which reunited Leon with Claire Redfield as they dealt with a zombie outbreak in an airport. The next instalment was Resident Evil: Damnation, which sent Leon to a fictional European war zone to fight Lickers and Tyrants - of both the bioweapon and political kinds.
The most recent was Resident Evil: Vendetta, pairing Leon with Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers - who was long absent from the series following prequel game Resident Evil 0 - against a bioweapon terrorist. Vendetta is arguably the silliest of the lot, with John Wick-aping action sequences, though it's entertaining in its own overblown way. It's two-disc Blu-ray comes with plenty of extras too.

Resident Evil: Vendetta's Blu-ray bonus features are surprisingly in-depth, starting with a fun commentary with the movie's director, writer and producer. CGI To Reality is split in two and examines key sequences and how they were put together, including the final rooftop battle. The bonus disc has assorted features like a breakdown of villian Arias while Designing The World Of Vendetta is a short look at how the movie's look was put together.
For those who had a good time with Resident Evil: Vendetta and its commitment to over the top action, the Blu-ray extras are worth a look. It's unknown if another CGI Resident Evil movie is coming together, though fans seem to have a good time with these franchise offshoots. Despite being canon they often have little to no bearing the plots of the actual games, and if another does happen, it would be nice to see a lot more focus on suspense over action.
