The third beta test for Resident Evil Re:Verse will kick off this week, lasting from April 21 to April 22. Capcom hosted Re:Verse's first beta test earlier this month on PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One, but took the trial offline several times due to ongoing server issues. As a result, not many players were able to truly get a feel for the overall experience, though the publisher did launch a third beta the following week.

Impressions on the multiplayer suite that will come packaged with Resident Evil Village are mixed, thus far. The gameplay seems to serve as the biggest disappointment; however, PC mods have apparently boosted the experience to a degree on Steam. At the very least, the premise is intriguing. Re:Verse represents a celebration of the brand's 25-year history, allowing players to assume the role of several heroes. During deathmatch battles, players are tasked with collecting virus vials - the number of vials collected determines which Resident Evil monster a player character will transform into upon death.

According to a post on the official Resident Evil Re:Verse Twitter account, the multiplayer suite's third beta test will go live tomorrow, April 21, at 6:00 am UTC/2:00 am EST. This beta will come to a close the following morning on April 22 at 6:00 am UTC/2:00 am EST. To take part in the upcoming testing phase, interested parties must download the launcher on supported platforms (Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox) and have access to a Capcom ID.

Since Resident Evil Village's release is nearly upon us, it remains to be seen whether or not this upcoming test will act as Re:Verse's final beta. Capcom does have additional demo plans for the core game, however. An RE Village gameplay demo went live for a brief period of time this past weekend on PS4 and PS5. A Castle-focused demo will launch this weekend exclusively on PlayStation hardware, as well.

The newest trials differ from Resident Evil Village's original Maiden demo in that they actually include in-game content. Last weekends' gameplay, for example, allowed players to explore the titular village as Ethan met townsfolk and familiarized himself with the lay of the land.
