Without a doubt, the universe that contains the most unique and horrifying monsters belongs to Resident Evil. This dark and twisted world has gained a massive following over the years and as such, many fans have tried to mimic these glorious creatures.

Marguerite Baker is one such character, not only because of her monstrous form but also her motherly nature and tone mixed together with her psychopathic temper and smile. She was captured expertly by Mitternachto in a single yet terrifying image that will leave anyone with nightmares of this evil mother.

Movies make the world of cosplay go round. While most of the Resident Evil cosplays are inspired by the games, there are a few that are inspired by the film series of the same name. Over the years, there have been countless costumes inspired by the series, each one raising the bar.

If the creators of Resident Evil had a dollar for every time they made a horrifying character, they would make Scrooge McDuck jealous. Chock full of countless creepy baddies, all of which contain their own unique abilities, these monsters are unlike anything seen before.
As such, cosplayer Wasabiu pulls off an unbelievable costume, bringing the absolutely horrifying Licker into reality. It's a creature many assumed would be impossible to pull off, and yet, Wasabiu manages to make a near picture-perfect version of the undead beast.

Something that elevates a game is the rivalry between characters. Every game has it, from Sub-zero and Scorpion to Kratos and Zeus, rivalries like these are meant to last a lifetime, to entice and intrigue characters unlike anything else in both video-games and the real world.
The rivalry between that of Jill Valentine and the iconic Nemesis is legendary among gamers. Any cosplayers who have the chance to imitate the rivalry will happily bring it to life, with Nemesis equally as terrifying as he is in the game. Executioner By Collin
Big monsters are difficult to imitate, depending on how tall or short a cosplayer maybe. To recreate a physically intimidating force, to make them feel and look as menacing as the game makes them out to be is a challenge but not an impossible one.
Despite the simple name of Collin, the cosplayer does anything short of simple, making the classic Executioner boss pop and come to life, keeping it's size, shape, and menace while changing nothing. It even adds to have someone fighting it, boosting its height.
Zombie By Nenco
While Resident Evil is definitely a zombie survival game that's different than most others, at its core, zombies roam and terrify the players at every turn. Some have unique abilities that expand upon the horror while others just remain the way they are.
Cosplayer Nenco manages to showcase a T-virus zombie in its natural habitat, the undead perfectly brought to life. It's a simple yet terrifying image, one that remains branded into our minds for a long time after.
Zombie Horde By Akoi-Lifestream
On their own, zombies, even those breeds by the Umbrella Corporation, aren't much of a threat. Zombies free of any special mutates are usually easy to avoid or fight off. If one was to become two, then three and perhaps even five though... then the player would have a problem.
Akoi-Lifestream brings the nightmare into a reality, creating without words a story of a survivor trapped by a group of the undead. If they try to fight, they may win or they may be torn to pieces. Their only option? Run.
Tyrant By Mauricio
For most cosplayers, it's all about becoming the character they adore and love so much. Now, this doesn't mean they become them in mind but simply in spirit and body. A good cosplayer will either need to make themself look like the person or cover their humanity entirely.
It depends on who they're trying to be and for someone like Mauricio, recreating the Tyrant involves making the human side vanish completely and becoming the monster feared by so many. It's terrifying while at the same time beautiful.

It's difficult to pull off a good villain in cosplay, let alone one from a horror world full of monsters and beasts of only the darkest imaginations. Yet, there are many talented cosplayers out there, people who are more than capable of such herculean tasks.
After injecting himself with the G-virus, Willaim Burkin becomes a horrific mutant, overtime losing himself to the virus completely. Cosplayer Gai imitates the gruesome character to a tee, expertly bringing the terrifying mutant to life in a way that would make any fan proud.
