A Resident Evil fan has shared pictures of their custom Umbrella-themed PC that uses the series' infamous T-virus for coolant. As fans of the franchise will know, the Resident Evil T-virus (or Tyrant virus) is a strain of the progenitor virus that the Umbrella Corporation developed. People infected with the T-virus are transformed into the creatures seen across the series, including zombies, Lickers, and Tyrants. Due to its power, the T-virus became a viral weapon in biowarfare and resulted in a deadly pandemic that almost wiped out mankind.
At first, it seemed that the Resident Evil Umbrella Corporation made the T-virus to cash in on the virus being used by military groups around the world. This also led to the company testing it on animals to make bio-organic weapons (BOWs). As a result of these financially successful experiments, the Umbrella Corporation grew and regional divisions were founded. It seemed all but confirmed that Resident Evil's Umbrella Corporation made monsters for the monetary value they bring to the company. But as revealed in later games like Resident Evil 5, the Umbrella Corporation was secretly investing in a eugenics program, hoping to find the secret to eternal life. Umbrella Corporation founder Oswell Spencer essentially aimed to become a god and create a race that he would rule over.
Inspired by the Resident Evil franchise, Reddit user 1YardLoss has posted photos of their custom-made Umbrella-themed PC to the Resident Evil subreddit. Their PC has the Umbrella Corporation's insignia on its fans, as well as other parts of the computer, and features the red and blue colors of the logo. Furthermore, the reservoirs holding the coolant for the PC are glowing T-virus virals, adding in an additional Easter egg for other fans. In the comments, 1YardLoss mentions that they custom-make PCs based on commission via their website, OdderTech, should anyone be interested in a similar PC build.

While 1YardLoss' PC creation is Umbrella Corporation-themed, the PC does not reflect Resident Evil's newly revamped Blue Umbrella. Once the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation were uncovered and the mega-corporation went bankrupt, Blue Umbrella was created using the original Umbrella's assets. On the surface, this new Umbrella Corporation combats bioterrorism by creating anti-BOW weapons. However, character Chris Redfield has mentioned that he does not trust the company, so players are left to question Blue Umbrella's true motivations.
Future games in the Resident Evil franchise will likely reveal what Blue Umbrella's aim really is, just like games in the franchise did for the standard red Umbrella Corporation. Even if the Umbrella Corporation really is the root of all evil in the horror franchise, whether red or blue, more lore continues to evolve the series, with Resident Evil Village and its Umbrella origins story unveiled in the latest game. With more to learn, Blue Umbrella might serve as the inspiration for 1YardLoss' next impressive custom Resident Evil PC.
