Naraka: Bladepoint will become the latest addition to the battle royale scene later this year, bringing Sekiro-style melee combat to any otherwise shooter exclusive genre. There have been plenty of attempts to mix up battle royales with the likes of Realm Royale and Hyper Scapebut unfortunately, nothing truly unique has been brought to the genre and stayed since Fortnite allowed players to build and manipulate the environment around them.

The beta for Naraka: Bladepoint is only available on PC but plans to release the game on console are set for later 2021. Naraka: Bladepoint aims to accomplish a couple of things, including doing away with a system that requires ammo entirely. The game does rely heavily on melee combat, but there will be several ranged weapons in the game including a musket, shotgun pistol, crossbow-repeater, cannon, and a bow. It's ambitious to include range weapons without an ammo system, as the weapons can reach a point where they won't fire, but Naraka: Bladepoint has found a way around that.

How to Repair Weapons in Naraka Bladepoint

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Preview

The beta has already seen changes to some of the weapons ahead of the game's full release, particularly in the form of the cannon's damage output. Changes like this mean players will be required to hit more shots, enabling weapons to deteriorate faster eventually leading them to break. Every weapon in Naraka: Bladepoint has a breaking point, but the melee weapons can continue to deal damage at a lesser output once they're broken. Once a weapon is broken, be it ranged or melee, it needs to be repaired.

To repair a weapon, and restore its durability, players will need to find a Weaponry Chest. It's a common item found in Herald's Trial, and players can only carry two of these items per stack. Players cannot move when using a Weaponry Chest and it takes three seconds to use, so it's likely not something to use unless the weapon is on its last few durability points.

For all intents and purposes, Weaponry Chests are the ammunition for any ranged weapon. A range weapon's damage does not become lower as the weapon begins to deteriorate, but once it fully deteriorates the weapon acts as if it is out of ammo. Melee weapons, however, only need to be repaired and will do less damage if they are broken.
