It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia went from strength to strength when Danny DeVito was added to the cast during season 2, with its fourteenth season starting in September 2019, making it one of the longest-running live-action sitcoms. Outside of the series, Day has appeared in both Pacific Rim movies and the Horrible Bosses franchise. Jim Dangle. Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis appeared in Reno 911! season 2 episode "Not Without My Mustache," with Lennon's Dangle investigating a disturbance at a trailer. Ellis's character is screaming that her brother, played by Day, is ripping the head off her favorite doll.
The cops encourage the warrings siblings to make peace, but after Day apologizes, they start passionately making out. This leads to Day's character being arrested - and his credit as "Inbred Twin" starts to make a lot more sense. Day and Ellis' appearance can't really be dubbed a cameo since this Reno 911! episode came a year before they broke out with It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, but their brief scene is still hilariously gross. It also feels like the inbred McPoyles clan from It's Always Sunny - which features Westworld's Jimmi Simpson - was at least partly inspired by this Reno 911! scene.
