An ESRB rating for Remnant: From the Ashes indicates the survival shooter from developer Gunfire Games may soon make its way to the Nintendo Switch. Gunfire Games' gunslinging action-RPG hit store shelves for consoles and PC in 2019 and quickly gained a fair bit of inertia in terms of sales. Remnant: From the Ashes surpassed one million units sold across all platforms within two months of release, for example.

Its forward momentum didn't stop there either, thanks in large part to the development team's extensive post-launch support. Such support manifested in the form of the Swamps of Corsus DLC, which introduced a new difficulty setting, Survival Mode, and additional armor skins. Free content releases were also added after Remnant: From the Ashes shipped, giving players access to extras like Adventure Mode and the Leto's Lab dungeon. Gunfire Games unleashed the final piece of DLC, Subject 2923, in August 2020, which pitted players against some of the game's most formidable enemies. And it seems a new audience will soon be able to explore the challenging world of Remnant: From the Ashes.

As spotted by Twitter user Nibel, an ESRB rating for Remnant: From the Ashes has outed its future release on the Nintendo Switch. Neither Gunfire Games nor publisher Perfect World Entertainment has confirmed the port's existence, at the time of writing. However, ESRB ratings usually prove accurate when it comes to eventual game releases; as such, reason suggests Switch players can soon expect to get their hands on the third-person survival shooter. Nibel's tweet, complete with a screenshot of the Remnant: From the Ashes ESRB listing, features below:

In addition to seemingly confirming Remnant: From the Ashes' forthcoming arrival on Nintendo Switch, the ESRB rating could also hint that the release is rather imminent. Such information will remain unknown until Gunfire Games and Perfect World Entertainment formally announce the port, however.

Founded by Darksiders veteran David Adams in 2014, Gunfire Games has already made a name for itself in its relatively short lifespan. Notably, it counts among the many studios acquired by THQ Nordic in recent years. And, as such, hopes remain high that a Darksiders 4 will eventually see the light of day, with Strife - the final of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse - at the helm.
