Pokémon Legends: Arceus finally is finally about to arrive after months of hype. The trailer got fans really excited to go back in time in the Pokémon world and see different versions of their favorite Pokémon, in addition to the ancient time's rich culture and graphics.

That is, fans were excited about some Arceus spoilers until images of the Pokémon available in the game were leaked online. Fans on Reddit have quite a bit to say about the bizarre versions of Pokémon and new evolutions that were spotted in the Arceus spoilers, and their reactions are pretty hilarious.

Dialga Is Struggling To Exist

Dialga's leaked design for Pokémon Legends Arceus

One of the designs that were leaked was for one of the strongest legendary Pokémon from Sinnoh, Dialga. But, it looked a bit different than it has in other iterations of the game. The difference is especially striking because Dialga was just featured in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shimmering Pearl, along with many inconsistent overworld models.

The new -- or, technically, ancient -- Dialga design featured a large protrusion coming from its neck. Redditor Big_Marketing1914 commented on the topic, saying, "Cool, but looks like its existence hurts. Has a huge diamond stuck in its throat."

Sneasel And Sneasler Got The "Alolan Meowth Treatment"

Instead of the traditional evolution for the Pokémon Sneasel, Arceus is debuting an ancient alternative evolution called Sneasler. Upon seeing the design of the two Pokémon on the Reddit thread, many fans thought the two looked a little familiar, style-wise. Even non-fans of the Pokémon franchise know who Meowth is, but they may not be familiar with his Alolan form or how much it looks like these designs.

Reddit user Unown1997, still thinking the Sneasler was an alternate version of Weavile, wrote, "That Sneasel and Weavile got that Alolan Meowth and Persian treatment." Facedcrown chimed in, saying, "If that is a Weavile, doesn't look like a Pokémon to me. Kind of cursed."

Sneasler Looks Depressed

The criticism of Sneasel and its new evolution continued on the Reddit thread that shared the leaked designs. Many thought that Sneasler, in particular, looked like it was grappling with a deep depression with eyes that were sad to look at.

Joking, Redditor splvtoon said, "The new sneasel looks kind of cool, but that evolution? Lookin' like it wants to be put out of its misery." It's definitely true. One look at Sneasler will make players think it's contemplating its own mortality and staring into the void.

Typhlosion Looks Sad Instead Of Angry

Another Pokémon that looked like it needed some cheering up was Typhlosion. Granted, the still of the fire and ghost-type didn't do it justice, and a leaked animation on Twitter gave fans a lot more confidence in the design.

However, at first glance, Typhlosion was looking just as disappointed in its existence as Sneasler. Reddit user ShockRifted wrote, "He looks like he's experienced a life of misery, and not in a cool way. I feel bad for a Pokémon." Sommerolle added their thoughts, saying, "Marowak (Alolan) is Fire/Ghost and looks bada**. Wish my boy looked more angry."

My Little Pony Palkia

Both versions of Palkia

Palkia's new design got everyone in a tizzy on the Reddit page, and it's not hard to see why: the Pokémon looks absolutely nothing like its normal form. Instead of a dragon-looking beast standing on its hind legs, the new Palkia is a lot more equine. Die-hard Pokémon fans may know that Arceus can come in many forms, and is commonly found in combination with Palkia and Dialga -- this may be why their forms are different.

Regardless, Redditors were immediately upset and confused by the starkly different appearance of Palkia. OhMyGoth1 wrote, "My god what have they done to Palks?" But, the funniest reaction so far was comparing Palkia to a children's show cartoon horse. InfiniteStorm joked, "My Little Pony Palkia."

Typhlosion Looks Like A Bipedal Dolphin

The animal comparisons and jokes didn't stop at Palkia. When fans saw Typhlosion without its flame animation, they were entirely underwhelmed and started to poke fun at the Pocket Monster's appearance.

IcarianWings wrote on the Reddit thread, "Fans: 'They're finally giving Typhlosion some love. Hope his new form is sick.' Gamefreak: lol bipedal dolphin." It's true, the new Typhlosion definitely had a different, rounder shape than its usual form. Redditor Hiker-Redbeard tacked on, "high, emo bipedal dolphin."

They're Glad They're Extinct

One of the most hilarious and out-of-pocket reactions was actually a reply to a seemingly hopeful comment about the outlook of the game. gletschafloh wrote, "Honestly, most of this is weird AF. Still excited tho."

Out of nowhere, Redditor RocTheJoc came in with one of the funniest remarks about the new Pokémon, and they got 125 upvotes for it. In response to gletschafloh, RockTheJoc said, "I'm more excited these Pokémon are extinct." Quite a few other Redditors chimed in agreeing, too.

Electrode Lost His Smile

In addition to an electric-type Pokémon now being made of wood, which doesn't conduct electricity, some fans were sad that Electrode doesn't have its cheeky grin anymore. In fact, the Pokémon seemingly has a permanent frown, which is a little disappointing, even if it is one of the most exciting spoiled Pokémon for the game.

Reddit user hoenndex wrote, "I like most of these. Sad Electrode lost its smile, though." Dementron commented some appreciation for the electric Pokémon's original form, saying, "The deranged grin of Pokémon who knows Explosion and *likes* it."

Dialga Swallowed A Beldum

Jokes continued to be made about the apparent frog in the most powerful legendary Pokémon from Gen IV's throat. The gigantic diamond-shaped mass in Dialga's neck has fans all over Reddit confused and a bit disturbed. Redditor Bucen wrote, "I think I just threw up in my mouth looking at Palkia and Dialga."

The OP of the r/TheSilphRoad post had an interesting take on Dialga's design and shared it in a response to Bucen. ArmsofMingHua replied to them, saying, "Palkia looks a bit better than Dialga. Dialga looks like it swallowed a Beldum." It couldn't be a more accurate comparison -- the shape of the bulge in Dialga's throat looks exactly like a Beldum.
