Netflix's Red Notice has the most aggressive set of COVID safety measures in Hollywood, says star Dwayne Johnson. Of all the streamer's upcoming movies, Red Notice might be one of the most anticipated thanks to its sheer star power. Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds will join Johnson for this action/comedy, which will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, Skyscraper). Johnson will play an Interpol agent tasked with tracking down the world's greatest art thief (Gadot) who must team up with the world's most notorious conman (Reynolds) in order to do so.

Despite the impressive names associated with Red Notice, the project has taken some time to get off the ground. Initially slated for 2020 with Legendary and Universal, Red Notice later shifted to Netflix. Production began earlier this year, but things were suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. After months of little progress, Red Notice was finally able to resume work this month. Gadot and Reynolds both shared their ordeals taking COVID tests to mark the occasion.

Johnson hopped on social media to share a new behind the scenes photo from the Red Notice set while also touting its impressive safety measures. So far, Johnson says they've had a "very productive first week back of work," but that it hasn't been without "some angst and anxiety." Nevertheless, Johnson commended the cast and crew for working so hard despite the changes. "We have implemented the most aggressive health and safety Covid measures in all of Hollywood, but as I shared with our crew yesterday, we’re all still in beta phase with no “COVID playbook” to reference," Johnson wrote. In the picture, both Johnson and Thurber are armed with masks and plastic face coverings. You can see his post down below.

This is an especially important post for Johnson, as he had revealed he previously tested positive for COVID earlier this month. At the time of his announcement, he had already recovered from the virus, but this still marks the first time Johnson has returned to work since his experience with coronavirus. It's no wonder he and Thurber are so dedicated to creating a safe environment for them to work. Hopefully, their safety measures will be enough to keep Red Notice on track for the rest of its production.

Netflix has found great success with star-driven action flicks, from this year's Extraction to Reynolds' own 6 Underground. Red Notice is already poised to be another hit for the streamer, and it's likely a relief for fans that filming is up and running once more. It's common practice nowadays for major film productions to employ a variety of new safety measures, and if Johnson is correct in saying Red Notice has the strongest of them all, he and his team likely won't have much reason to worry going forward.
