Red Notice star Gal Gadot says she loved working with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds on the new Netflix feature. Red Notice follows FBI agent John Hartley (Johnson) who unwillingly teams up with rival art thieves Nolan Booth (Reynolds) and Sarah Black/The Bishop (Gadot) for a daring and globe-trotting heist. Like a myriad of other films, production on Red Notice was delayed by several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a long wait, the film finally received a limited theatrical release on November 5 and is set to debut on Netflix on November 12.

The action-comedy film was directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and marks his third collaboration with Dwayne Johnson after 2016's Central Intelligence and 2018's Skyscraper. Red Notice is the director's first project with Reynolds and Gadot. The film was originally set to be released by Universal Pictures, but Netflix stepped in to take over as the distributor in 2019. The cost of production for the film reached a record-breaking $200 million, making Red Notice the most expensive project that the streaming service has produced.

Gadot was interviewed by TODAY while promoting Red Notice, and revealed what it was like working alongside her charismatic co-stars. The actress jokingly said that it was "awful and unbearable" at first, but eventually admitted that it was "a true delight" working with them. She continued to praise both Johnson and Reynolds for the individual qualities that they brought to the table, which she says helped boost their chemistry as a leading trio even further. Check out Gadot's comments below:

"Being able to work with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds was a true delight. Each of them brings his own personality. And they're both so different from each other. And they're both so smart and intelligent and fun to work with and generous partners."

When Netflix released their slate of upcoming movies for 2021 at the start of the year, Red Notice was one of the titles that stood out and became one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year. This was largely due to the fact that the film features a line-up of three of the biggest stars in Hollywood today. The Netflix original comes as a refreshing change of pace for Gadot, Johnson and Reynolds, who have been kept busy with their involvement in major franchise films for the most part in the last few years. That said, Gadot also mentioned that she would be open to returning for Red Notice 2 if it were to happen, stating that she would "love to have the opportunity" to work with Johnson and Reynolds again.

Gal Gadot's fame has skyrocketed since her supporting act in the Fast & Furious series, eventually leading to her starring role in Wonder Woman after taking on the part of Diana in Justice League. The next few years will see her committed to some massive projects including Wonder Woman 3 and Kenneth Branagh's upcoming film adaptation of Agatha Christie's Death On The Nile, which releases in February 2022. The calibre of actors like Gadot in Red Notice guarantees undeniable chemistry between the leads and entertainment of the highest order, and while early reviews from critics may be mixed, the least that audiences can expect is some exciting blockbuster-level action.
