Warning! Spoilers for Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #3 by DC Comics

After Hal Jordan was seemingly killed by Pariah and the Great Darkness, Red Hood was revealed as the newest member of the Green Lantern Corps. However, in Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #3, the version of Jason Todd isn't the same hero from the main DC Universe, but instead, one who took up the mantle as the newest protector of Sector John Stewart in a mysterious new reality.

In the current Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths event from DC Comics, the greatest heroes in the DC Universe were "killed" by Pariah and the Great Darkness. However, despite the surviving heroes believing the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman died in the last stand against the group of dark villains, they actually were transported to alternate realities, where Pariah kept them and seemed to siphon their powers in his quest to reshape the Multiverse. However, when Hal Jordan is similarly "killed" in the Green Lantern's battle against Pariah, he's taken to a strange new world where Jason Todd has traded in his Red Hood costume for a new Lantern ensemble.

In Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #3 by Joshua Williamson, Daniel Sampere, Daniel Henriques, Alejandro Sanchez, Danny Miki, and Tom Napolitano from DC Comics, the Green Lantern Corps head to Sector 666, home of the Black Lanterns. Going on a lead from Black Adam about Nekron being in Pariah's dark army, the team head inside the Black Lantern and finds Pariah, who reveals that dead Justice League heroes are each in a specially created world that is powering him to rebuild the Multiverse. The Green Lanterns send every construct they can at Pariah, but when Hal Jordan reaches one of his worlds, his body disintegrates and awakens in an all-new world without a Power Ring. When he looks up, he sees three Green Lanterns, including Jason Todd's Red Hood, with a new costume as part of the group defending Sector John Stewart.

Green Lantern Jason Todd

An upcoming one-shot from DC Comics will explore the new world Hal Jordan finds himself in, but like The Flash, and Superman, the Green Lantern hero is being kept in an alternate world where his power is being used as a weapon by Pariah. In Hal's world. Kyle Rayner has become a blind prophet, and Jason Todd's Red Hood has joined the Green Lantern Corps with a new costume (while still wielding a gun). The sector name, Sector John Stewart, further proves things aren't what they appear for the hero.

Will Hal Jordan be able to break free from Pariah's hold in the new world created for him? What is Jason Todd's Red Hood's unique role in the alternate reality, and how did he become a Green Lantern? Things just got much trickier for the surviving heroes now that Hal is off the board in their fight against Pariah. Readers will find out more soon, as Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #3 by DC Comics is in stores now.
