The star of Django Unchained, Jamie Foxx, has had his iconic outfit perfectly recreated in Red Dead Redemption 2. There are all kinds of different outfits in Red Dead Redemption 2, with some of them even offering the wearer special attributes or skill bonuses, but sometimes players just want to dress up as their favorite characters from other forms of media.

While Western-themed movies and television shows used to be one of the most popular genres, it has experienced a sharp downturn over the past few decades as viewer tastes and preferences changed and advances in technology gave creators more options and ways to tell different kinds of stories. However, that hasn't stopped a few filmmakers and game designers from offering their own take on Wild West-themed classics, and one of the best stories of the past decade to come out of this neglected genre was 2012's Django Unchained from director Quentin Tarantino.

Now, one player of Rockstar Games' own most recent take on the Western genre, Red Dead Redemption 2, has created a perfect homage to Django Unchained in the form of dressing their character up to look just like Jamie Foxx did in one of the movie's most iconic scenes. After discovering he could purchase his own clothes, former slave Django picked out a very ostentatious outfit for his first mission, and in an image recently posted to Reddit by a user named u/CptnCASx (embedded below) interested fans can see just how close this Red Dead Redemption 2 outfit comes to matching Foxx's.

The user even placed their character in front of what appears to be the game's Braithwaite Manor, a place very much like the Big Daddy plantation in Django Unchained where Foxx confronts two of his former abusive overseers. From the triangular beard and fluffy cravat to the over-the-shoulder satchel and small, vertically double-barreled pistol, the above image from Red Dead Redemption 2 is a perfect match for the scene from Django Unchained.

The popularity of both Django Unchained and Red Dead Redemption 2 has proven that audiences aren't entirely done with Western-themed stories yet, they just have to be told in a unique and original way. It's unlikely that viewers will get another look at Jamie Foxx's Django any time soon (although there is an official Django/Zorro crossover comic book available) so creations like this Red Dead Redemption 2 outfit are the next best thing. Now someone needs to mod in Christoph Waltz as a companion and everyone would be set.
