Exploring the vast, natural landscape of Red Dead Redemption 2 is a significant part of its gameplay, including foraging for plants. The game's dedication to realism and detail is one of RDR2's most loved qualities, even if it makes some tasks a bit more time-consuming or difficult. One such obstacle is the limited availability of certain plants, such as Wild Feverfew, and the effort it takes to get to their native regions.

Unlike some of Red Dead Redemption 2's more common plants, Wild Feverfew is very scarce in single-player mode and can only be found in the desert lands of New Austin. Though difficult to access, Wild Feverfew has worthy uses, as eating the plant by itself will refill Arthur's Stamina Core. It can also be used to make Special Bitters, a useful crafted tonic that fully restores stamina and greatly fortifies its Core.

Wild Feverfew looks somewhat like a daisy growing from several green, leafy stalks with white petals and a yellow center. Given its natural habitat of the arid New Austin desert, it should stand out a bit among the cacti and scrubs in the area. Even so, using Arthur's Eagle Eye ability can help locate the plant more easily and quickly. Players need to use L3 and R3 together on PlayStation 4, LS and RS on Xbox or click the mouse wheel for PC to activate the Eagle Eye ability.

Wild Feverfew Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 New Austin Desert

Wild Feverfew can be found in New Austin, located in the southwest corner of the map. The plant is relatively scarce in this area, but players will still be able to harvest some Wild Feverfew in this region. A node can be found near the struggling town of Armadillo, north of where its name appears on the map. Another node of Wild Feverfew can be found in Hennigan's Stead, a little northwest of the "I" in the word "New Austin" printed across the area.

Players still playing through the main story will have to wait to access this part of Red Dead Redemption 2's map. During the main campaign, Arthur cannot enter New Austin without immediately suffering gunfire from lawmen in the area. In single-player mode, New Austin is only available to players to enter after the end of Chapter 6.

Since the game's release, players have been searching for RDR2 glitches or mods to enter New Austin before the end of the game. Any bugs that allowed players to access the area early have since been patched, leaving players to finish the game as intended or enter the location in Red Dead Online instead. For now, harvesting Wild Feverfew is still reserved for post-game.
