Red Dead Redemption 2 allows players to find a hidden vampire in the game. This blood-sucking creature can be found after completing certain requirements and this guide will teach players how. It is fairly expected for games developed by Rockstar to contain hidden and supernatural easter eggs for the player to discover. In another popular franchise by Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto, players could encounter aliens high up in the sky or Big Foot deep within the forest. Also, players can transform into animals for a limited time by consuming a Peyote plant, giving the player character strong hallucinations for a bit. Red Dead Redemption follows this strange and out-of-this-world experience by containing special supernatural entities to encounter while exploring the land. In Red Dead Redemption 2, players can find a vampire hidden deep within the game. This character functions very similarly to other stories surrounding vampires, as they depict these creatures as blood-sucking demons who only appear out in the world at night. Players are required to find 5 different scribbles hidden in the map before the vampire will appear. This guide will help players find all of the different scribbles and the vampire in Red Dead Redemption 2. What the player decides to do the moment they encounter it is up to them.

Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place in a fictional recreation of the Old Wild West in the United States. Players take control of Arther Morgan alongside the Van Der Linde gang. The gang is being actively pursued by the authorities and as the game progresses the group shrinks smaller and smaller with each encounter. The game is a massive open-world title with tons to explore and discover. Similar to the Grand Theft Auto series, players can find themselves wandering the land to see every inch of the carefully crafted world from Rockstar. The game also features an online mode for players to team up, recruit players, and go on missions together. This is truly the Grand Theft Auto of the wild west. The game takes place along 5 different made-up states, New Austin, West Elizabeth, Amberino, New Hanover, and Lemoyne, each with their own distinct traits and characters to interact with. The game contains spooky easter eggs like the ability to encounter a vampire in the wild. This guide will help players by providing steps for summoning the vampire in Red Dead Redemption 2.

For starters, the player will need to find all of the Mysterious Writings hidden around the world map. There are 5 Mysterious Writings for the player to find. It does not matter the order of collecting them, it just matters that the player has successfully documented them in their journal. Here are the locations of all 5 Mysterious Writings in Red Dead Redemption 2.

  • Mysterious Writing #1: Head over to the Dockside Butchers. This location can be found near the docks in Saint-Denis. The writing can be found written on a gray wall on the opposite side of a gated fence. Walk up to the text and interact with it. The text reads, Five bones under the perfect star, Nosferatu with, Dominica will become mortal again. The remainder of the Mysterious Writing locations is much closer together.
  • Mysterious Writing #2: Head over to the Trapper's Alley. Walk to the east side of Saint-Denis near the marketplace. There will be a gate where the Tapper has a stall. Before entering, there will be an alleyway to the right of the gate. Walk down this alleyway until finding a small shattered wooden box. The Mysterious Text will be written above the box. Interact with it to write it within the journal. The text reads I feel again, the blood of life, the circle has Begun.
  • Mysterious Writing #3: Head over to the Antique Alleyway. This is on the west side of Saint-Denis located near a long row of shops to go to. There will be an alleyway right next to the antique shop with a courtyard on the opposite side. A small prong will be sticking out of a building behind the Gunsmith marker on the map. There will be a small stone window nearby some scaffolding. Jump through and the writing will be on the wall, written in red. Interact with it to put it in the journal. This one reads, With one long kiss, I draw the life, From her and await, The Outpost of Advancing day.
  • Mysterious Writing #4: Head for the Grated Fence Alley. Walk towards the docks from the Mysterious Writing #3 location. There will be a covered alleyway. Go under the stairs and look to the wall on the right side. There will be a chair with writing in red above it. Interact with it to place it in the journal. This one reads, Oh sweetest of napes, May your blood Remain forever On my lips. Six there Will be before the Lust is sated.
  • Mysterious Writing #5: This one is located near the Soup Kitchen. Head past the cathedral and into the dodgy saloon in Saint-Denis. Players can find this in the northeastern part of Saint-Denis. Here, a red building will be labeled as the soup kitchen. The writing is on a red wall in white text. Interact with it to register it. It reads I drink from theMaiden and I live Again in the dead The heart of theRing of blood.

Now that the player has collected all of the Mysterious Writings, Arther will create a star symbol on the map to reveal the location of the Saint-Denis Cathedral. Head over to this location between 00:00 and 01:00. Head to the southern side of the cathedral and there will be an alleyway. Walkthrough the alleyway and find the vampire above a bleeding corpse. What the player does next is up to them. They can either fight the creature of retreat. If the player stays too long, the vampire will attack. Fortunately, the vampire goes down fairly easily.

Rockstar isn't strangers to introducing the supernatural into their series. Especially games that have serious tones about murder and drugs, they happen to sneak in small and strange details into their open worlds. Players will need to go out of their way to discover these. This makes them more satisfying to come across when it happens. It's likely more Rockstar titles will continue to include more supernatural themes in their big-budget titles.
