A newly found Red Dead Redemption 2 glitch makes Arthur look as old as Uncle. Within Rockstar Games' 2018 western video game, players have encountered several bugs. These bugs can range from something as simple as characters spinning in their saddles as the player tries to adjust the horse's bridle to a more frustrating glitch where John Marston disappears into the ground as Arthur Morgan looks on in confusion. Unfortunately, the glitch featuring John Marston's disappearing act causes the game to give the player a mission failed screen. Thankfully, however, not every glitch unexpectedly ends the game. In fact, many of RDR2's glitches are harmless and even hilarious.

There are a couple of Red Dead Redemption 2 glitches that alter the appearance of the game's characters. Because the game allows players to customize their character's appearance with a slew of options, glitches that occur can greatly change how the player's character looks. For example, one player found that when they died in a fight replaying the game's story, their character respawned with a completely different body. This RDR2 glitch caused Arthur to gain weight when he reappeared. Now, a new glitch that once again affects the main character's appearance has been discovered.

Reddit user Aerius06 posted a photo to the Red Dead Redemption 2 subreddit of a new glitch that they found. The newly discovered glitch significantly ages Arthur so that he looks as old as Uncle. The photo that Aerius06 posted showcases the usually young Arthur with gray hair, a thick gray beard, and wrinkles. What caused the glitch is unclear from Aerius06's post, but the screenshot shows that Aerius06 was attempting to customize Arthur's wardrobe when the bug occurred.

With this older Arthur, one wonders what it might be like to have another member of the Van der Linde gang rival Uncle's own old man energy. Both the original Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 are vague on Uncle in terms of his relationship to anyone in the gang. By all accounts, it seems that he has no familial relation to anyone, and he just joined the gang at some point. As Uncle is often drinking and complaining, another old man in the gang would make for a very different dynamic, and maybe even a different game. Either way, it is odd to see an older Arthur.

Though Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for three years, it's still regarded as an exceptional game, and fans still play it quite often. Other than replaying the story or completing missions, some fans find joy in discovering new glitches like this one. In its own strange way, glitches like this elderly Arthur Morgan keep Red Dead Redemption 2 and its fanbase alive.
