Rockstar's Red Dead Online is all about the cowboy fantasy. For some, that means posse-ing up and bringing in bounties. For others, there's fun and profit to be made in the moonshine bootlegging. For others still, they may want to hunt Red Dead Online's Legendary Animals that roam the wilderness. Here are tips to help ensure a successful hunt for all 40 Legendary Animals in RDO - including their locations

Players on the Naturalist path in Red Dead Online will have a leg up on others when it comes to finding these elusive targets. At level 5, Naturalists are given the Legendary Animals Map, as well as a Field Guide. Leveling up that role by working with Harriet Davenport (who resides in Strawberry) will let players access information on more and more animals.

It is also important to know that some of these animals have conditions that need to be met in order for them to spawn in Red Dead Online's overworld. The Legendary Chalk Horn Ram, for example, only comes out at night. Further, some of these animals will only spawn when on the appropriate mission - which are given by Harriet. Any requirements will be listed after the animals location.
