The Recruit features an up-and-coming star in an action-packed role, along with a strong cast of old and new faces. An eight-episode spy thriller, The Recruit can be described as "Jack Ryan meets James Bond," with the main character Owen Hendricks having to step up for a deadly mission despite not having the experience or the skills. Owen's journey involves reluctant allies, potential traitors, and long-time friends in a relatively large set of characters.

The newest Netflix action show may feel slower at the beginning, but just like Jack Ryan goes from an accountant to a special agent in Jack Ryan season 1, Owen Hendricks goes from a recently graduated lawyer to an agent responsible for avoiding an internal crisis within the CIA. With a mixture of action, comedy, and romance, Netflix's The Recruit is different enough from similar shows in the genre. From long-time Netflix collaborators to new talent, here's The Recruit's cast guide.
