Ever wake up early in the morning and think to yourself "Man, I have to catch the bus again" or worry that you're going to get stuck in traffic once you set off on your journey to the office?
Well, why don't you go and buy yourself a real, fully working, custom-built Tron Legacy Light Cycle?
It'll only cost you a mere $35, 000 (spandex jump suit not included, although a Tron style helmet is free)
If you're excited at the prospect of rocking up to work, looking like a digitally enhanced Jeff Bridges, then you'd better hurry as only five bikes (proper title: Tron Lightcycle Honda Yamaha Kawasaki Suzuki Harley) have been produced. Each Light Cycle, a significant upgrade from the other Tron Legacy merchandise we reported on, comes with a different color accent - red, blue, yellow, green and orange. They're for sale on an eBay with a "buy now" option set at the price listed above.
Now for the details:
"The wheels are custom made 22" x12" dual hubless wheels with custom made tires (Hoosier is custom making 5 sets just for us specifically for this project). (Buyers will have the option of additional tires as needed) The frame is 2" cold rolled and boxed hardened steel with carbon fiber/fiberglass bodies. Accent colors are neon glowing from behind frosted plexiglass and can be turned off or on with the flip of a switch."
The standard bike is thirty five grand - this gets you either a gas powered or an high output electric motor (1000 cc engine) as well as a complete carbon fiber/fiberglass body and LED neon lights throughout. However, there are of course upgrades available for "the serious buyer."
It's a pretty geek-tastic purchase and financing is available so you don't have to mortgage your house or sell a body part just to get one.
You'd better be fast though, as the auction ends in just two days! Be warned - the buyer is responsible for shipping or picking this bad boy up.
Tron Legacy opens December 17th.
