A real-life Batman has taken to the streets of Mexico in his Batmobile to promote following coronavirus guidelines. Since the coronavirus, or COVID-19, appeared late last year, the world has employed drastic measures to slow its spread. This means nearly all are practicing social distancing, while many others are under stay-at-home orders. As a result, all industries have been affected, as nonessential workers have been told to work from home or not work at all. Entertainment is one of many sectors that's been negatively impacted by the coronavirus.

Over the last month, nearly all TV show and movie productions have stopped work. With filming halted across the globe, some projects are working on post-production from home, while others are in a state of limbo. One of those affected is the DCEU's upcoming movie The Batman, in which Robert Pattinson will take over the role of Bruce Wayne from Ben Affleck. The movie originally announced a two-week production halt in mid-March. However, as the situation continues to evolve, director Matt Reeves recently shared The Batman will instead continue work when "it is safe for us all to resume." This follows the pattern of many other Hollywood projects, most of which are on hold indefinitely at this point.

Twitter user PortalMX_ shared the video of the coronavirus-conscious Batman. In it, an impressive-looking Batmobile is seen roaming the streets. Though the person in the car isn't visible, his voice can be heard through a megaphone calling out to people walking. Take a look at the video below:

Though The Batman hasn't had its release date delayed yet due to the coronavirus, it's certainly a possibility. Nearly every movie scheduled to release through the summer has been delayed, including Black WidowNo Time to Die, and Mulan. The DCEU hasn't been nearly affected as the MCU yet, as all it's had to do so far is push Wonder Woman 1984 back two months. Meanwhile, Marvel sending Black Widow back to November set off a train reaction, bumping nearly every film in Phase 4. A combination of a limited number of release date options, plus the uncertainty of when in-progress movies will be able to resume production, means there may very well be other movies delayed in the coming weeks.

In a time of so much anxiety, it's nice to see one Batman fan doing something to make people smile, while also encouraging them to practice quarantining. Superhero cosplay is fairly commonplace nowadays, but the inclusion of the Batmobile takes it up a notch. It's especially impressive considering the scope of the vehicle. There's no guarantee those gathered on the streets actually listened to this Batman fan, but at least the video provided some levity for those of us watching at home.
