Ashley Darby is explaining why she doesn't feel like dating "is the right thing to do" following The Real Housewives of Potomac star's divorce from Michael Darby. It's been six months since Ashley filed for legal separation from Michael after eight years of marriage. The filing comes one year after the Darbys welcomed their second child together. Despite all the scandals Michael was involved in, and the stress he's caused during the marriage, Ashley still appears to be slow to move on from her ex-husband.
Ashley "definitely" has dating on her radar, but it's not something she's gotten around to since she's still living with Michael and their sons Dean, 3, and Dylan, 1, in their Arlington, Virginia, home. "I'm 34, you know what I'm saying? I'm in my prime, essentially, so yes, I think about it," Ashley admitted to Entertainment Tonight. "I dabble here and there, to be honest," she confessed. But actually dating someone she connects with isn't exactly on Ashley's radar at the moment. "I just don't think it's the right thing to do, you know?" Ashley admitted before noting how she "can't really give myself to anyone emotionally. I'm still pretty connected to Michael."
Ashley and Michael Are Adjusting to Co-Parenting
With two young children to care for, Ashley and Michael are more focused on adjusting to their new dynamic as co-parents. Ashley says she and Michael still do things together as a family including spending weekends together and having meals together. "But conversation outside of things that pertain to the children is very small," Ashley revealed. She has been adjusting to life as a single mom of two. Fans saw how hard Ashley fought to make her marriage to Michael work. Some even suspect she had an exit plan figured out years ago.
