The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson recently got a matchmaker after her breakup with her fiancé Steve Lodge. Vicki and Steve began their relationship in early 2016 after meeting at a charity event in the OC. The couple immediately hit it off and began dating soon after they met. The reality star later introduced Steve to the RHOC ladies during season 12. Vicki was happy to be in a seemingly healthy relationship following her five-year romance with Brooks Ayers.
While the couple seemed madly in love, Vicki announced her split from Steve in September 2021. Vicki admitted that he cheated on her with a 30-something-year-old woman, and he allegedly brought her to Vicki's home in Mexico. Steve has denied the cheating claims and says he and the 59-year-old have been broken up since December 2020. A couple months after the announcement, Steve confirmed that he's engaged to 37-year-old Janis Carlson.
During an appearance on the Two T's In A Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge, Vicki revealed she hired a matchmaker in hopes of finding the one. "I’m on my fourth date with a guy from Chicago with the matchmaker," the mother of two said on Thursday’s episode of the iHeart Radio podcast. "He’s picking me up from the airport when I get to Chicago." Vicki, who had cancer, didn't reveal the identity of her mystery man; however, she did say that he is 55 years old. "[He] and I are gonna see each other next week when I’m in town," Vicki confessed, noting that she's spent the last three weeks at her condo in Mexico. "He’s in Chicago because I will only date a Midwestern man. … We’ll be on date four next week," she added.
Before the holiday break, Vicki was spotted on a date in Chicago with an unidentified man. The mystery guy she is speaking of could be the guy she was recently seen on a date with. While on the podcast, Vicki, who's dating a new man, also spoke about the qualities she is looking for in her next suitor. Some of those qualities include good teeth, non-smoker, family man, self-sufficient, entrepreneur, must love Jesus, confidence, and many others. For her next relationship, Vicki wants someone who will not lie to her, a quality she thought she found in her ex-fiancé, Steve. Vicki knows she will never get over Steve because she shared such a deep love for the former police officer. However, she is doing her best to move forward after the difficult split.
Now that Vicki has a matchmaker, hopefully, she will soon find the man of her dreams. Who knows, maybe the Chicago guy she is currently seeing will be her future husband. Vicki, who called Steve a fame whore, has only wanted to be loved since her divorce many years ago and is hoping this matchmaker will finally get her to walk down the aisle again.
