Brandi Glanville wants audio and video tapes that were taken while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip to be released, all in an attempt to prove that she's innocent. The reality TV star is currently in an alleged sexual harassment scandal involving a fellow cast member. This follows allegations from RHUGT castmate and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Caroline Manzo, who reportedly claimed she touched her without consent. The unsettling incident led Caroline to cut her trip short. RHUGT producers also believed Brandi was acting erratic, citing comments she made that went against the show's conduct. All of this reportedly led to her eviction from RHUGT.
According to Page Six, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville is fighting back. Her lawyer Duncan P. Levin issued a letter to Warner Bros, demanding the release of the audio from the stars' microphones, the video tape, "and any other documentation" they possess. They claim all of it will offer proof of Brandi's innocence. "It is absolutely unacceptable that your company would knowingly and willingly allow such a story to take hold in the media, without any regard for the truth or impact on Ms. Glanville's reputation," the letter read. The lawyer believes they intentionally held everything back as part of a "cynical ploy for ratings."
Brandi Believes RHUGT Encounter With Caroline Was Consensual
The letter claimed the audio and video recordings demonstrate that Brandi acted appropriately, within the bounds of the law, and had consensual interactions with Caroline. It also claimed the company was aware that three eyewitnesses corroborated Brandi's actions. The attorney further alleged that Shed Media, a Warner Bros. subsidiary, instructed Brandi not to seek a legal representative or attempt to correct the public's perception of the incident with Caroline as a case of harassment. He believed Shed Media planned the whole interaction from the onset, writing, "The night in question was one that was egged on by your own producers."
Should that be the case, then this whole harassment scandal might just be what Brandi's lawyer makes of it—a ploy for ratings. On one end, Brandi has maintained her innocence, and on the other, Shed claimed they took the necessary actions by launching a comprehensive review and investigation. So far, they seem to have evaded the subject involving Caroline's alleged assault, dwelling instead on Brandi's alleged harassment of a producer on set, leading to her RHUGT ejection. The other parties involved have failed to address the scandal openly, which is a major red flag for an unsettling allegation such as this one.
Of course, there is a possibility that Brandi indeed harassed her RHUGT co-star as has been claimed. Given the reports about her erratic behavior from RHUGT crew members, it would not be out of the question. But then again, the drama her controversial antics add to the show accounts for her success on RHOBH and spin-off series RHUGT. With growing anticipation of what truly transpired behind-the-scenes that night between Brandi and Caroline, RHUGT season 3 is off to a drama-filled start even before the premiere is released.
