Former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp is rumored to be under consideration for the next season of Celebrity Big Brother. Teddi was on RHOBH for three seasons and was shocked to learn of her firing from non-TV friends who had seen it in the news prior to her being officially notified. Teddi attributed her dismissal to show footage that focused on the more negative aspects of her interactions. “If you only see me when I’m in an argument, it’s hard to see the whole picture. I wish we could have seen more of the fun stuff but it’s a TV show.”
Some viewers speculated that Kyle's bestie was axed because she was boring, but whatever the reason, Andy Cohen praised the way she announced her departure as one of the best he's witnessed. The Bravo chief lauded her for being straightforward about the situation and doing it gracefully in comparison to some exits he's seen over the years. He appreciated that Teddi, who owns a business in which she encourages her clients to take accountability while reaching their health and fitness goals, had modeled her own advice. He also clarified that Teddi had not been released because of the controversy that had arisen regarding that very business. Some critics had been calling Teddi out for what they considered her unrealistic and dangerous advice with regard to eating and exercise.
According to The Sun that the former reality star is currently in talks to become a cast member of Celebrity Big Brother. If selected as a houseguest, she would join fellow housewives Brandi Glanville and Kandi Burruss, who have both competed on the show. Participants vie for a prize of $250,000 and can also win $25,000 if voted by viewers as "America's Favorite Houseguest." Season 1 victor was Tony winner Marissa Jaret Winokur and fellow reality star, Tamar Braxton won season 2. Recently, rumors suggested that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne would be competing on the show, but that was quickly shut down, as she is still a cast member on that franchise.
Teddi, who rang in 2022 with former co-star Kyle Richards in Aspen, is the daughter of famed rocker John Mellencamp. Since her departure from RHOBH, she's been busy with her three children, her fitness accountability business (All In By Teddi) and hosting a podcast called Two Ts in a Pod with fellow former housewife Tamra Judge. A so-called insider Twitter account recently claimed to know who was competing on season 3 of Celebrity Big Brother and posted a list of names. Though a former housewife was included, it wasn't Teddi but Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Nene Leakes.
Currently, there is a lot of speculation regarding the Celebrity Big Brother season 3 cast. That said, it seems likely that at least one former housewife will be included. Whether it's Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills alum Teddi, Nene, or someone else altogether remains to be seen, but housewives fans would likely enjoy the inclusion any former cast member. In Teddi's case, viewers would surely be keen to learn more about the controversy surrounding All In By Teddi and RHOA fans are just as eager to know what's going on with NeNe since she embarked on a new romance following husband Greg's death.
