Whitney Rose gave fans an update on her father's sobriety journey after it was shared on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The brave family opened up in the premiere season and allowed cameras to follow Whitney's father attempts to break his drug addiction.

Fans fell in love with Whitney on the newest housewives franchise as she remained transparent about her life after being ousted from the Mormon Church. The mother of two appeared perky and positive onscreen despite sharing details about her dark past. She and her husband celebrated their ten-year wedding anniversary on the show. It was a day many of their old friends and family didn't think they would make it to. The couple met while they were both married to other people and fell in love while involved in a scandalous affair. However, they remained a solid union and moved on with their lives together despite becoming blacklisted within the church. Whitney introduced viewers to her recovering father Steve Lesh who was working to stay sober following multiple relapses in the past.

Following the start of the new year, the Bravo star answered fan questions using the Q&A feature on Instagram. After one of her followers asked about her father, Whitney revealed that she hasn't spoken to him in awhile. “How is your dad doing?!,” the fan asked during a January 1 Q&A, as captured by Reality Blurb. “So I actually don’t know how my dad is doing right now, which is breaking my heart and is having me very worried. He’s not responding to me currently so I hope he is okay,” she confessed. The news comes after her father was filmed signing himself up for treatment as well as attending Mary Crosby's church with his daughter while trying to remain sober. With him not responding to his daughter and her not knowing his whereabouts, it's grim signs that point to another possible relapse or bout of being in a poor mental state.

Whitney's storyline on the show was one of the more honest portrayals housewives fans have gotten a chance to see on the franchise. Whitney remained by her dad's side as he worked to live a healthier and happier life following years of hurting himself and his loved ones with his lifestyle choices. In addition to speaking on her father's sobriety, Whitney also shared her uncertainty on season two. “I haven’t received word yet if we’re doing a season two but I sure hope so so stay tuned,” she shared before adding that the cast is "about to film the reunion.”

While Whitney did a decent job at staying out of the drama this season, she did manage to ruffle the feathers of Lisa Barlow. The two had an awkward exchange at a function after Whitney shared a tiny complaint about Lisa's employees. Fans will get updated on their spat when the reunion show airs later this year.
