The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast members reveal why there may not be a season 2 even though the show has great ratings. The show has won over Bravo fans, but is it too late to win over the network?

We are only two episodes in and if anyone was worried that the drama from the premiere episode would fizzle out, they were wrong. Episode two proved to be a match as the women took on the wintery slopes of Utah. While some dressed to impress, others called out Lisa Barlow for her rude and threatening behavior. The ski dinner turned into an all-out assault on fans want more.

While appearing on a local show called Good Things Utah, Lisa made it known that she believes the franchise needs the city of Salt Lake just as much as the city needs the franchise saying, “I love our city. I’m so grateful that we live here. You know, growing up in New York and moving here… This is our home now. We’ve been here for 15 years and it really is the seventh star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.” Check out the interview below:

The self-proclaimed Sundance Queen grew up in New York but feels Utah has so much to offer. Fans have been enjoying meeting the women who hail from the secretive Mormon lifestyle. There have not just been Mormons though as Meredith Marks is Jewish, Mary Crosby is Pentecostal, and Jen Shah is converting to Islam. Even though the premiere did not garner major ratings Bravo fans are still hoping the franchise gets to stick around for another season. When asked by the hosts about a possible renewal Lisa replied, “I hope so! I don’t know if we’ll get a second season, but I think it’s possible… I don’t think the producers want to leave and I hope we get a season two and they all want to come back.”

Fans have lost franchises before when The Real Housewives of Miami and The Real Housewives of DC didn’t work out. But these women feel better matched for the Bravo network and what the franchise entails. Viewers needed something positive to look forward to since the start of the coronavirus outbreak back in January and the powdery snow drama did the trick.
