Certain cast members have a lot to own up to during The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2, with some fans even speculating that Meredith Marks is responsible for Jen Shah's impending arrest. Even though Meredith is at the end of her rope with Jen on RHOSLC season 2, it is hard to imagine that the even-tempered stylist would resort to ratting out her fellow housewife. From Meredith's passion for "disengaging" to her overall interest in Jen and her business, here's why Meredith probably didn't call the feds on Jen.

The feud between Meredith and Jen wasn't one that The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans could see coming. It all started on RHOSLC season 1 after Meredith discovered that Jen was spreading rumors about Meredith cheating on her husband during a turbulent time in their marriage. Currently, Meredith and Jen are stuck in a stalemate because of social media posts Jen has liked and shared mocking Meredith's son, Brooks Marks. So far, Meredith has been able to resolve her issues with Jen in regard to her marriage. Alas, she hasn't allowed Jen's comments about her son to go so easily. While Meredith Marks might have the motive to call the feds on Jen, logic doesn't support that conspiracy theory.

The trailer for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2 implied that some of Meredith's co-stars think she had a hand in Jen's arrest. Heather Gay famously asked Jen, "How did the feds know that you were at Beauty Lab?" On Watch What Happens Live, Bravo exec Andy Cohen flat-out asked Meredith if she played a part in Jen's arrest. Surprisingly, Meredith cryptically responded, "Andy, haven't you heard me tell everyone not to come after my family?" While Meredith's response seemingly confirmed the suspicion that she called the feds on Jen, it remains very likely that the real housewife was merely stirring the pot and had no role in Jen's arrest. One reason why fans don't think Meredith is responsible for Jen's legal trouble is that the feds have been after Jen long before she developed her feud with Meredith.

Meredith Marks looking annoyed in RHOSLC

Although Jen's legal woes are only coming to the surface on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2, the law has been catching up with Jen for years. According to Us Weekly, Jen's been evading legal backlash for years. In 2019, several of Jen's employees were charged with fraud. The writing has been on the wall for Jen for a couple of years now, so it was only a matter of time before the feds caught up with her. Furthermore, it'd be extremely out of character for Meredith to stoop low enough to rat out Jen. Even though the Real Housewives stars are known to fly off the handle after their kids get dragged into drama, Meredith is praised for her rational thinking and aversion to conflict. It's much more likely that Meredith would disengage before turning Jen over to the authorities.

Meredith has reason to hope for the worst for Jen, but it's too hard to believe that the Salt Lake City star would get the feds involved in their petty drama. From the active pursuit of Jen to Meredith's conflict-avoidant personality, it's unlikely that Meredith is the mastermind behind Jen's shocking arrest. Alas, whether or not Meredith is involved in Jen's arrest is sure to be answered on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2.
